My son qualifies for the DAS and we typically only use it as a backup. I’ve mastered the FP system and we also want him to learn to wait (without ruining our vacation).
With that said, do they accept the DAS at the Jack & Sally Meet at the party? My guess is no, but I thought I would ask here first. My son is obsessed with Jack but I know he can’t do that long of a line even if we got there early. Trying to come up with a plan where he can meet them but not ruin the rest of our evening.

You aee correct. They do not offer return times for the character meets at the party. Are you traveling with another adult? One option would be to arrive early, have your son with you, explain to the people around you that your son has difficulties with waiting in crowded spaces, and that your spouse(?, or friend/relative) will take him somewhere else to wait until it is closer to time. Most people are understanding of this. Then your son and the other adult can leave while you wait in line.

I would go to the charter attendant and explain your son needs and ask them if they can help you. I was told by someone that works in the disability department at Disney that charter attendants are trained on what they can do to help guest with special needs a few thing he said to me was getting one member of the party to wait in line while the other waited close by, Giving a return time if there is just one ( or in case of a child 2 people) there was a few other things he said but I forgot.

I have not tried this at the party but have be able to have some accommodation for other meet and greets

I would not tell your son that you will meet them but if you can ask the CM when you are there.

Yep that’s what I’m thinking about doing. I would probably just get there early and have them come at 4:30 depending where I’m at in the line. Thanks
