I'm taking my MIL to Disney in October, and it's best if she avoids crowds as she's in remission from AML. Anyway, i'm hoping to get a DAS pass for her to limit waiting in crowded lines, but I have two questions.

1. Does she need her own disney account / app to register, or can I just use mine if her reservation / ticket is linked to mine?
2. She has a 1 day ticket, and we have 2 day ticket. I'm hoping that won't cause issues.

Thanks,

John

She will still have to wait in sometimes crowded lines, just the LL ones. You’re not typically walking right on the ride, there’s still a wait snd a line. Just an fyi. And I do my daughters DAS on my account but she’s a minor, not sure how it works with an adult but I’d think she could use your account but she’d have to register and do the interview herself. Or you can do it when you get to the park at guest services. I wouldn’t think the ticket thing would be an issue since it’s tied to her ticket, yours shouldn’t matter.

My DS is an adult and I handle every thing on my MDE. He has nothing but a ticket also in my MDE.

Likely no issues because if she doesn’t scan into the park it won’t let anyone book DAS, just not there.

Besides getting the DAS for your mother there was a couple of things we did when a family member was in the same position as your mother. In line, we used others as a buffer zone. A family member in front and a family member in back and kind of spaced so no one was really close. Switch back type queues are hard but we still were able to provide a buffer zone.

I would have her talk to her care team on what other things to avoid. I know with our family member, they strongly suggested to avoid buffet type meals.

Good luck and I hope your family has a nice trip. Something to celebrate!

There is no avoiding crowds at the parks. Even walking around you can come up to a bottleneck and quickly be surrounded by people.
The type of ticket that you all have doesn't make a difference with DAS.
