DAS at MNSSHP Experience

We went to the party Sunday night. We had just arrived in Orlando and needed to renew our DAS at the party. They explained that at 6 pm when the park closes the DAS system will "go silent" and will not show up on the app. During that hour you can go direct to an attraction and they will give you a time like the old ways. At 7 pm the DAS will reappear on your app and you can use it as usual during the party.

It was about 5:00 pm, they gave us our first DAS. After we used it we went to Pirates at about 6:45 pm because DAS has dropped from the app. Everyone was lining up for the overlay (Pirates was paused during that time) so we asked for a DAS at the LL entrance which they did just like pre-app on the tablet. A few minutes after 7:00 DAS reappeared on the app.

We only used it once because we quickly realized that with the higher crowds than expected rides would not be a focus. BUT if rides are a focus everything was practically walk on, 7DMT was 20 minutes.

It was a pleasant surprise after being refused for years. The app has made implementation easy. And the fact that it worked perfectly as described at each time point felt … official.

My guess is the silent hour and in person is to make sure you had a party ticket.

My DD was approved for DAS prior to the trip. We arrived at the MK before the party started. We were able to use the DAS through MDE from the minute we walked into the park until the party ended. The most popular rides had about 30 minute waits so we did find it useful.
