DAS and special events (MNSSHP)

Will we be able to utilize a DAS during MNSSHP? Will the FP lanes (at rides with FP) be open to accommodate our son with ASD? My past experience with special events has seen no fast pass- working during party hours. Also, even though lines tend to be shorter, I've also seen some very long waits too.

We had the DAS during our last trip and went to a party. We did not use it, however I saw other people ask and they were told no, as there were no fastpass lines being used. We encountered a few lines earlier in the evening, but were able to just choose another ride and come back to that one. Such as Buzz had a longish line, so we went on the People Mover and by the time that was done Buzz was walk on.

We were allowed to use it on Buzz during the Christmas party when the standby line was really long.

I'm pretty sure DAS can't be used during special events and parties. I know the GAC could not be used during MNSSHP anyway.

GAC (the discontinued Guest Assistance Card) was not in use during MNSSHP or the Christmas party. Everything I have heard says DAS is not planned to be in use during parties either.

At least at WDW, they have not had the Fastpass lines functioning during the special events, so there is no 'other' line to send guests with DAS thru.
The lines are typically not as long during the parties, as guests are doing other things besides rides.
If you need some accommodation because the attraction you want to go on is too busy, it's worth asking whether they can accommodate you (state what you need).
But, be prepared that there may be no accommodation available.
