1.) The new DAS system had just started on my last trip. I did qualify for one, but since it was at DL will WDW be able to look it up, or will I have to re-apply for one at WDW? I have anxiety over this because I know if for some reason they decide to turn me down, I will have real ride access issues, especially traveling alone.

2.) I am no longer able to plan a trip too far in advance, and I doubt that I can get a FP for popular rides at less than 30 days out? Any suggestions? I really want to try the new mine train coaster, and TSM is my favorite attraction in any park!!

3.) Speaking of TSM. Is it true that (at least at times) you can now only ride Toy Story if you have a FP? This is my favorite ride, and while I will do other attractions in the park, TSM is really the only reason I go to DS anymore. (Sadly, TSM requires a FP, I think I will want to skip DS this time.)

4.) I have never gone using the new bands and FP system. Is there a simple step by step guide out there for what I will need to do? With it being on an app, I worry that I am going to struggle to use it, to even be able to see it while in the parks, as I have problems at times even reading the paper park maps. Any other advice or suggestions?

5.) Crowd and temperature advice also needed. I normally only go at the least crowded possible time I can find, but again this time it will not be possible. I am thinking maybe I will try for April or maybe even the first week of May, ( but can't book till the time gets closer.) Can you tell me what week might have the lowest crowds? Any known events, or closing of my top three attractions?

Thank you very much for any help or advice that you can give me.

1) you can bring it if you have it but I don't beeline the systems work together so you'll probably have to explain your needs again. Write down a list of NEEDS if it helps.

2) you'll need to schedule those as early as you can. They might be available later when people cancel, but they're both incredibly popular. You can use the DAS at both but it will put it out of commission for an hour or so. The FP only TSMM was a test. It's not been implemented since. That could of course change.

4) your bands will work like a ticket and once you've got your FP scheduled you don't really need MDE anymore if you wrote down your times. On the My Reservations page it will list all your times for FP and dining. It's pretty easy to read and figure out.

That's all I can help with. I haven't been in May.

Have a nice trip.

About three years ago we went the first week of May and it was not crowded at all. The weather was absolutely gorgeous!

Last summer (last week of July) friends joined us last minute and they were able to book a fast pass for TSM the day before.

I appreciate the replies and opinions, thanks. How do I find out how to use the new wrist bands and new fast pass system? Will Disney send me something when I book?

There's not apt o know about the bands. You just scan them to redeem things. Scan your band to use a ticket to get in. Scan your band to use a FP. Scan your and to pay for stuff if you want.

MesaBoy has a link to explain FP on his signature. I don't have it handy but someone else might post it. It's pretty easy. It's just like paper FP except you schedule your time in advance instead of walking up to a machine and getting whatever time is available.
