Going with my daughter this weekend who need the DAS to help with standing in lines.

I had hoped to have it be pretty amazing with the lightning lanes going unused, since often the return times provided have us go to the lighting lane.

I feel like now we'll just be getting in the lighting lane with everyone else and the DAS won't be as effective.

I'm not sure what you're looking for from the board. Just to vent or get support? DAS has worked this way since 2013. It's not new, or changed in any way from its previous iteration. I'm sorry you're disappointed.

Ueah, I was just venting. It'll be a great trip and I'm grateful for the DAS

Totally understand what you are saying. For us it will be a mixed bag. I will miss the extra fast DAS wait times we enjoyed on our summer trip, but also it will be easier for my child to be able to blend into the LL and not feel like people are looking at him as being different. He felt very stigmatized as a DAS user due to his anxiety, so this may make things easier.

I'm also curious if they will allow the selection of DAS times on the app like they are in WDW and booking some DAS times in advance. That would certainly be a big benefit. I'll be watching closely as things roll out this week. We are going in January so hoping the kinks will be worked out.

We just used DAS Monday-Thursday of last week. The only time we waited a bit was Rise on Thursday, and that is because it had been down a LOT. I would say no more than 10 people otherwise at any given LL line. Also the ability to make selections in the App was live and it is AMAZING! As soon as you scan one, you can select the next attraction. SOOOO much better.

DAS still works great. Also, be prepared for more questioning than normal when you go to get the DAS. I'm not sure what prevents your daughter from standing in line, but if it's strictly mobility/standing related it will likely be denied. They needed a much more thorough explanation last week re: why my son (who is Autistic) struggles in lines than they've requested over the last 7 years we've used it at Walt Disney World.

Yesss the new app feature is so much easier!

I have a question in regards to the DAS pre-booking option. I just had my call for a trip in January and booked my two for each day but I now realized that the first one on my first day I won't have arrived at the resort yet, I was wondering if anyone know does it work like the DAS you get when you are at the park, where it is good for the rest of the day or until you use it or does it expire like the old Fastpasses? Thank you for any assistance.

Wondering what is the phone number to use for DAS pre-approval. Is it better to do this before we arrive, or should we wait and do it when on-site? Also, what is the maximum number of people you can have in your party?
Thank you!

We are going next week and plan on using both DAS and Genie+ for our 10y.o. who is Autistic. DAS always worked well when used in combination with Fastpass in previous visits and I expect it will be the same again. I am hoping the advanced DAS sign-up will make the trip[ more smooth so we can skip stopping by Guest Relations first day. Alas I have now been on both mobile waiting and hold on the phone (doing both simultaneously) for 3 hours trying to get it set up. Hopefully it won't be much longer. Looking forward an awesome trip

We simply called 407-560-2547 which seems to be a general number not one specific for DAS. Will let you know how it goes if we ever get through.

Don't bother calling, they will say (after 4 hours on hold) you can only do it through the online chat or once you get to the park. They cannot help over the phone. Not very helpful at all, disappointed in their guest services to sat the least

You can only do that via video chat. They will need to see the person the DAS is for and take their picture.

And if you thought 4 hours on hold was bad, the video chat wait is worse! I waited over 7.5 hours, had to log back in every 30 min, only to end up being dropped out of chat and never did get to talk to anyone. Im just going to go renew mine in person. The two advance selections are not worth the hassle.
