I love him!!!! In fact I was watching Kolchak last night. My DVR tapes it when it is on.

Kolchak series, The Christmas Story, and the dad in Murphy Brown were my favorites.

Kolchak was the original supernatural TV series. McGavin played a bumbling reporter and his supporting cast was equally as colorful.

RIP....I will miss your spirit and grace on the small screen.

A Christmas Story is my husband's and my dad's favorite holiday movie. (omg, they actually have something in common!) Anyway, we watch that movie every Xmas. Sometimes twice. Sometimes five times. Sometimes I lose count. But I think the dad was wonderful in it, its a funny moviel.

As a joke, for Xmas this year my dad sent a copy of the lamp the dad wins to his sister. I am not sure what her "get back" will be this Xmas, but I am looking forward to it.

I can't believe he was 83. Seems like just yesterday that I found Christmas Story...wow I must be getting old! RIP.
