Dark at parks

I thought the conversation about the darkness of the MK during MNSSHP was interesting. I have ALWAYS felt that the parks were very dark at night.

It's very dark in World Showcase at night, I feel. There right around the US and Japan. At MK, I've always felt it was dark over by Dumbo and the Carousel, and that stretch in front of Country Bear Jamboree on the way to Splash Mountain.

I always thought it was me!!!!

Totally agree!
I hate stumbling around after dark. I'm always complaining that they need better night time lighting, and DH and DD tell me I'm nuts!
Worst was last year's MNNSHP when it was pouring rain and I felt blind as a bat. It really soured me on returning to the Halloween festivities in the future.....

I have a tough time getting around at night at Magic Kingdom and World Showcase too. I haven't seen IllumiNations in YEARS... due to the fact I can't see to get around World Showcase.

I'm right there with you.

Thats why I rent a scooter.

I can see people, but I have trouble seeing the dark ground and I'm afraid of falling.

I have a difficult time seeing in the dark especially without my glasses (I use them for long distance only). I tend to forget my prescription glasses at home on vacations and definitely have trouble seeing at night in the parks. MK is really dark in Liberty Square and Frontierland.

Now I am wondering... I have glasses for long distance only too! Hum... maybe I will try wearing them when I go in December. I'll let y'all know if it makes a difference.
