:confused3 :rotfl: :mickeybar If you are staying at a Disney resort, let say Pop Century, and dont have a car with you........... :rotfl2:

What would be the bestway to get to Universal Studios?????????

When we stay at Caribbean Beach and go to Sea World and Universal we use Mears shuttle service.

We used Mears Shuttle last year as well..We actually made our reservations when we landed at the airport. Ironically enough we even had the same driver who took us from the airport to Port Orleans Resort to also take us to Universal. It worked out great and would use them again. As for price I don't remember but for us it was reasonable.

Have fun in Universal. We had our 5 & 7 year old with us and there was a lot we could not due because they were "scared" of some of the rides (Twister,Terminator 3D Etc.) My DH did a lot of things while the kids and I stayed in the Nick Toon area. We said when the boys are teenagers we will go back.

I would recommend eating at Jimmy Buffet's Marquetville (sp??). The food was really good.

One other thing when you go to Universal, if you have AAA, you get 10% off tickets, merchandise and food. We saved a quite of bit of money that we then used for extras in WDW. :flower:

I honestly do not remember.....it's been so long!!! Sorry! If you call them they will tell you though. I'm sure they have an 800 number.

Thanks. If anyone does remember please let me know. I might add this to my budget and not get a rental car. There's only a couple of places I'd like to go that might require a car: Universal, Olde Town (for shopping). I might just save that money for the rental car for two weeks and just use Mears.

Also, if you decided to split your stay between two resorts, do you just use the resort buses? Will they take your luggage?

You ask lots of people at the resort until you find a Dis-er who gets angry enough to pick you up and hurl you there, a la catapault.

Wear poufy clothes for an easier landing. :goodvibes

We will use a Quicksilver towncar-$70 round trip + tip. It's about the same price as a taxo or Mears service I believe

Bill

It's not such a daring question. The DisBoard actually has a Universal/Islands of Adventure forum. Why don't you post your question there? I'm sure you will get some helpful advice.

I think it was about $14.00 per person for R/T to either Universal or Sea World from Mears.

Alamo and National both have locations on Disney property. Alamo is running a deal now (not sure of the date parameters) for $19.95/day on weekends. I believe weekends are Friday - Monday. You may be cheaper to go this route depending on how many people are in your family. Plus, you have the flexibility to go somewhere off site for a cheaper dinner than what you would pay for in the theme park.

We are doing the Mears Shuttle too. I have heard it is $14. There is some PDF file on their website I found somehow that stated the prices for all these travel routes. I haven't called yet but from what I've heard you can set it up the day before, but I'm going to call the week before just to check to make sure.

The cheapest route would be to go to TTC and take a LYNX bus to UO:

TTC with bus no. 50, then trasfer to bus 21 stops at UO.

$3.50 for a single day fare or $1.50 each way
