The pictures of the upcoming pins are here:

http://www.fsoft.com/Disney/DreamsPins.cfm

I am only going for Toy Story 2 the Gala pins this week, myself. In my opinion, the Haunted House will be a hot one, maybe Nightmare before Xmas, Working for Peanuts (I am sure people will get a kick out of this one)... I see many handsome pins there.

Maybe the pictures will help minimize the struggles at the register, but can you foretell which ones will be the fast sell outs this week? In the following weeks?

Wanda

I think maybe the pins that depict movies that haven't been on pins before...Monsters, Inc., The Santa Claus.........

ANd maybe the poster pins......like a series within a series...

But I like most of them......still debating whether to collect the whole series or not.......

I like all the b and w Mickey pins...they are like a set within the set, as are the movie poster pins. I will get those along with the Walt's birthday, the Walt and Mickey, and the Beauty and the Beast pins...that's abot it! I will leave the others for everyone to fight over! :D

Which is what I said all along. However, there seem to be potential "sets within the set" that may appeal to a lot of people. For example, all the princesses, all the framed poster-type pins, etc.

I may try to get at least one set each week, so I have pins to trade to DIS members that couldn't get to the store. If I'm going to go to get one or two that one of my family wants, I may as well . . . right? :)

Then again, Wanda got me thinking about a whole other perspective . . . betting pools on pin favorites for each week . . . We could use top eBay price to make the call, use pins for betting slips . . . or $1 a bet and the proceeds go to charity . . . UH OH! I think I finally understand why people follow horse racing.

Yipee!!!!
The penguins from Mary Poppins are on the pin! Whee! Whee! Wheeeeeeeeeee! Maybe I'll do the same thing as our illustrious Peachident did with the James and the Giant Peaches!

I think the Pooh pins will be popular, and the Snow White series since they hook together. Mickey Mouse Club, and the Holiday ones (Halloween and Christmas). My favorites are the B&W ones, I love the old stylings and they don't make a lot of B&W stuff except for Steamboat Willie.

What are your picks for this year's James and the Giant Peach pins? I predict the live-action movie pins like Remember the Titans and Shaggy DA, plus a few of the B&W ones like Lullaby Land since I doubt many people remember that one. But here's a bit o'trivia for ya....On the Storybookland ride at Disneyland, you know that patchwork quilt garden...that's supposed to be from Lullaby Land.

........all that I'm really interested in this week is Mickey's Gala premiere, Belle and Toy Story, which is good, since I'm not going to be able to get there!! My favorites are the B&W--that is one of my collections(in fact my "largest" collection) but I love Pluto and the xmas tree, 'cause Holidays are my next collection.

I think that Haunted House, Oogie Boogie, and Walt's birthday "locket" will be big; as well as Mary Poppins(the penguins), maybe Nightmare (although it's not anything drastically different),and Working for Peanuts. All the poohs will be popular, 'cause of all the pooh people.

Glad I don't like all of them like I did this first week or I would be broke by time Christmas rolls around!!

Oh, yeah, possible "duds"; rocketeer, Lullaby Land, Titans......Santa Claus???

I went out and got some more tradables, for $3.20 with my DS card!

When I was in the store it hit me: completing the whole set will cost well over $4.00. And that is, if I ignore the LEs and CMs that will surely come out in the next few weeks... at Hallowen, at Thanksgiving, at XMas, Hannukah... Oh My...

Wanda

Wanda i bet it will cost you well over $4.00 for the set:D

Yeah, Wanda,

I was going to say, let me in on your secret discount if the whole set is only going to cost you $4.00 ;) ;)

Gee only 4.00 for the whole set.

HMMM wonder how much I could get for it on Ebay?!?!?!? I could use another WDW trip.

$400.00, guys...

In fact, has anyone calculated the total cost yet? I bet it will go well over $500.00.
But I don't foresee any struggles this Saturday over any of the pins. I just don't think any will sell out like #4 and #7 did.

I think the next sell out will definitely be Walt's birthday locket.

Wanda

DS puts the price at about $661 that includes a pin bag and all 153 pins
this info is included in the disney club contest rules

My prediction is pin #99 will fly off of the shelves! It's a beautiful pin that you can wear even on work clothes. If it's small that would be a bonus. I like wearing the smaller pins. I typically wear #101 from the previous set for that very reason.

Speaking of the previous set -- has anyone else noticed a slight decrease in the weight of these pins? They seem to be a lighter metal -- lower quality. The #1 pin this time, while very nice, is no comparison to #101 in the previous set in terms of quality, IMO.

What do you think?
