Dapper Days

Anyone here done Dapper Days?
Are there daily events? If so, are the events in the parks or the hotels?
How are the crowds?

Didn't do it but was in Disneyland in September this year and have to say some of the outfits were amazing!!! Felt bad though cause it was to hot couldn't imagine being in some of the suits I saw!!! And some of the ladies dressed looked so real of the era!!

Dapper Day was Friday Sept 12 , 2014. I was there from Sept 10 to Sept 18. They held an Expo in a convention room at the Grand Californian Friday and Saturday selling fashions and jewerly and hats but we didn`t go even though we were staying at the GCH. . The actual Dapper Day was Friday and we saw alot of people dressed up but the crowds were`nt too bad. Wait times for Indy for example were under an hour at peak times. Monday and Tuesday wait times were 20 min.at times. The weather was way too hot , pushing 100 which may explain why it wasnt so crowded. I didn`t see any organized daily events , just people showing up dressed up. The Mark Twain was down for refurb. Fast Passes for Radiator Springs Racers were still available around 2:30 - 3:00 pm for a 7:30 pm FP.

I've done two and have already got my lodging for the third paid for. There are expo events at the grand. I've not done more than walk through. I'm about the meet ups and enjoying the parks in vintage attire. See trip reports in my signature.

What time does the Dapper Day expo open?

I think different things open at different times. The styling suite start taking hair and makeup appointments early, like 7:00ish. The shopping part opens a little later, around 9:00 or 10:00, if I remember right. I think the sketch studio also opened early.

Dapper Day was technically one day, on Friday in September, but the expo was open Friday and Saturday. For the coming spring event, the expo will be open Saturday Feb 28th and Sunday March 1st, and the official Dapper Day is March 1st.

I'm very very interested in this event!! Would just love to go with my sister (who has never been to DL) for the spring date. I'm planning on booking the DL hotel if this works out. Hope we are not disappointed in it and wishing we had booked the GCH!
