Dapper Day was awesome!

Went this weekend with a friend and did not even know this was going on. LOVED the costumes. SOme of those women were crazy to wear those tortuous shoes to walk around Disneyland.
We saw whole families tricked out. I wish I had thought to take photos!

My firend and I were talking of doing this next year if it is offered.

We went yesterday to see everyone dressed up, although we didn't ourselves. If I can get my husband something comfortable, I want to do it next year. Although I will definitely be wearing flats! I saw some of them in the evening wearing Mickey-shoe slippers carrying their shoes, that's probably what would happen to me too.

Loved it! I feel weird taking pictures of people I don't know though, I wish I would have. There were some great looking Dappers.

I wish I was there to see it, but DBF couldn't get the weekend off Dapper Dans are also scheduled to sing boy band songs this week for LTM, so if you're still in the area, take a listen for me

I signed up for their email group and looked on the website but there hasn't been any mention of the next get together that I know of. Does anyone have an idea when the fall Dapper Days is going to be? We happened to be there last Sept. when it was going on. I'd never heard of it and thought it looked like such fun!

My family and I were at Dapper Day yesterday. It was a whole lot of fun. LA Weekly is reporting that there were 15,000 dapper folks at Disneyland yesterday. Click here for their story and 73 pictures.

There was one guy that was the spitting image of young Walt Disney from the statute in California Adventure.

The organizers of Dapper Day are working with Disney Parks for the fall Dapper Day. They will announce it in the next several months.

Oh, thank you, Rick!!! What fabulous pictures!! Is that your family? I just love the idea of someone dressing as young Walt.

When we were there in Sept, we went to Carthay Circle restaurant for a drink and there were lots of people dressed up from prior times and it looked like SUCH a fun thing to do. I'm really hoping to be able to go this fall and get in on the dressing up part!!

For everyone's information: most Dapper clothing isn't considered costume, so if you want to make your Disney day extra magical without getting in trouble for wearing a costume a la Tinkerbell at WDW last summer, consider dressing up! DBF and I like to dress nicer for the parks, and our photopass pictures turn out nicer that way

Looking forward to the fall date being announced. We just missed the spring event at DL by a week. DisneyBound tumblr link looks very cool. I think I would figure out a way to dress dapper without wearing heels though. When we go to Disneyland, we ride a lot of rides and I have both teens and little kids, so miles and miles of walking. There's a Dapper Day twitter feed and facebook page, which has most of the announcements on it.

I loved seeing everyone's outfits on Sunday! So neat =) And I really give some credit to the girls who were in dresses and short sleeves because it was pretty chilly all morning until around 2:30 when the wind died down. I loved the men in three piece suits and I saw a lot of families there all dressed up! So cute =)
