lol thank you so far only thinking of infront of castle around noon :p

Aw we did Ellie, Carl and Russell for the Halloween party a few years ago, so fun! I think you have to do something with balloons. Maybe bring a black sharpie and write will you marry me on it, but buy like 3 of them and when you bring them over say "hey I think there's a message on this one". Try and give a heads up to. A nearby photo pass person on main street so they can capture the moment!

I'm with DSNY4ever in regards to balloons. I'm thinking of grabbing a balloon handler on MS and having a couple of PP shots taken with the big group of balloons. One with you side by side, one of you two kissing (maybe like the Mickey/Minnie pose) with the balloons over your head and then for the last one (make sure she is the one holding the balloons) you get down on one knee and take care of the rest. EEEE! This is so exciting! Best of luck to you both!

OMG! Yes, balloons. Anything with balloons. Cutest proposal ever.

You could also maybe tie the ring to a balloon. Make sure to have someone taking pictures!

Not to burst your bubble...or balloon...ha... but I wouldn't hinge my whole proposal on a PP photog. They aren't hired to do these shots and may not comply. I know someone that was proposing in front of the castle and asked the PP photog and she/he said they were too busy to stop and do the photos and he he had to scramble to find a stranger to take pics with his camera phone (and trust them not to run away with it). It was a nightmare.

That said we have another friend who found a way to get it...I wish I could reveal the secret but I can't but you can probably figure it out, but it does NOT have to do with asking nicely is the best way I can put it. See the photo, (I hope he doesn't mind I posted it) the girl is his soon to be step-daughter

The PP photogs aren't there for special occasion photos so if you want to do it in front of the castle and just let the PP know they will of course do it, but if you have to try to find a balloon person willing to walk over there AND have it in the exact spot it's going to be tricky.

We have some PP pics in front of the castle where they have blurred everyone in the background out so that may work for you.

Please DO NOT let this dissuade you from proposing at Disneyland, I just wanted to share an experience I knew of so you didn't run into the stress and anxiety of that. castagnino.jpg

How about on a calm ride like the carousel, Small World, the Mark Twain or Alice or Casey Jr.? I think that would be an awesome memory!

I LOVE the balloon idea… especially the idea of tying the ring to the balloon string. I'm tearing up right now thinking about it.

Thank you everybody for your inputs they're all great
I never thought about the ballon part but now I'm thinking to tie ballons to the ring box put it in my back pocket and walk around like that for awhile then when it's time take out the box and boom lol but I like the will u marry me on the ballons idea

Hi they probably won't take it with a cell phone but I would rather have them take it with they're camera I was thinking of hiring a photographer to follow us around for the day

Wonderful suggestions! I have witnessed a proposal on the bow of the Mark Twain filled with Dappers on Dapper Day. Other Dapper’s would be happy to help you. I would enlist someone for pictures as well so that you don’t miss any. The balloon idea is sweet maybe again you could enlist someone to help you with this. There are a lot of Dappers here on the Dis that would probably love to help you. I wish I was attending in September as I would definitely help you out. Good luck and please post some of your pictures here for us to see. :tink:

You also don't have to worry about a picture at all! I got engaged at Disneyland and we have no picture of the moment. It is just a beautiful memory that lives in my mind . I agree, you can always ask the photo pass people, but if they can't, then don't worry about it.

Hiring your own photographer is the way to go. There actually certain reasons why the Disney PPs can't take shots with their camera and will offer to use yours or your phone. I'm sure they can take a shot of a proposal if they see one, but I wouldn't count on them being able to take a pic if there's another CM like the balloon seller in the shot.

I've read a lot of proposal ideas that involve balloons that sound logistically impossible. But since balloons would go with your costume, why not just buy some to include in the proposal. You could also buy the balloon popcorn bucket if it's still around. Get the popcorn in the paper cup to keep the balloon container clean, then you could put the ring in there.
