Danielle & Chris: 11-11-11 WP/ADH/DP Wedding PJ/TR - Complete *(1 Year Anniversary)

Ooh! I love your rehearsal dress! And as for short/jeans, go with what's comfy to you. You will see a little bit of EVERYTHING down here! I am always cold, so once it hits 75, I'm in jeans, but I have kiddos in my class that wear shorts all year long! Or you can always just throw in one pair of shorts to be safe!

Great music selections! I remember singing a solo to "Longer Than" when I was in high school! :rotfl: Good times! I love your rehearsal dress! I'm planning on wearing colored underwear under my dress and I wore them during my fitting and they couldn't be seen. I think you'll be fine :thumbsup2 Now I've gotta find some cute Disney pjs for the morning off the wedding! Love those!

For some reason I thought our trips were going to overlap... we arrive on the 17th and leave the 26th (although we won't probably go to the parks until after the wedding). Darn!

Great music choices, missy! I love the idea of "So This is Love" for the first dance--- it was Cindy's first dance with Prince Charming, after all. I'm surprised you don't have any Mulan love in there! (Although, I guess "Reflection" isn't very romantic... and neither is "I'll Make a Man out of You"...

And I LOVE the RD dress! I also was going to buy that "happily ever after" t-shirt, but it sold out before I could buy it. :( I do have the "princesses must have shoes" one though.

And you should be fine with those undies! They're super-cute.

I love your music selections! I think everything will flow really well. And we did end up having the Cotton Eye Joe at my wedding - the DJ actually came up to me and said it had been requested, but he wanted my permission to play it since some people don't care for it. I can understand the feeling, I wasn't crazy about the idea at first! But we ended up having a lot of fun. The only reason I regret doing it is that my legs were actually sore walking around Disney the next day!! :lmao:

Your outfit selections are so cute! I might bring capris and jeans just to be sure - you won't really know til you get there, I guess. Plus I'm always cold (at least, I get cold more easily than the average person), so it would make sense for me.

Oh, wow--that's too funny that the DJ asked you! I'm glad you had fun with it, though.
I'm usually cold a lot too, so I guess I'll be packing about one of each!

Thanks! Ok, good--I'm glad I won't stick out like crazy if I wear shorts or something!

Awesome! Yeah, I think I might wear those undies...they're just too cute! Disney Store has a lot of cute pjs online! You should look there.

Ahahaha, I ended up watching Mulan last night after I read this comment. ;) I really wanted to put something Mulan in there, but like you said...her music isn't the most cheery. Oh, well.

I just wanted to post real quick...

I found a shirt to wear to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party!

It was only $5.00 at JC Penney's! So I got one for myself and a larger one for Chris to wear. :santa::santa::santa:

So, tonight we finally ordered a wedding band for Chris...You know, 13 days before we leave...

Anyways, I was SO excited because he finally chose one! We went to the store tonight after he got home from work. We went in...they didn't have it in store, it's an online exclusive. So, the salespeople were nice enough to size him and order it and we'll pick it up in a week. PRAYING it will fit him and it comes in on time or else we're in trouble.

So, this is what he picked:

I like it, I think it looks elegant, it was in my price range, and it's the colors / texture he wanted.

WELL, on the car ride home, he decides to throw a hissy saying, he didn't get a nice ring, he had to settle (granted I've been badgering him since January to pick a ring), it's not what he wanted, it's a fraction of the cost of what mine was and he wants a nicer ring, I didn't pay attention to what he likes, he's holding me to get a nicer ring later on (which I fully intend to do, I just don't have adequate funds right now), and then he ended the rant by saying it's just a pretend ring. :sad1:

He states it's because we don't have it yet, but it really bummed me out, because I feel like he isn't really excited about the ring and is mad at me. I hope he likes it when he gets it.

It's good he found a ring, but I think you should be allowed to smack him for the ride home. There is no excuse for that. No offense, but he's acting like a spoiled child.

I hope it comes in on time, fits, and once it's on his finger he forgets what he said in the car. You're super close, and I know you'll have a magical time. :goodvibes

Awwww sweetie, I'm sorry! <3 <3 I'm sure he'll feel better about the ring when he gets it in!

Is it gold at all? Guy rings tend to be tungston/titanium these days ANYWAY--- guys are rough on their rings and gold scratches and whatnot! Just give him a kick in the butt!

Oh, I really wanted to, but I let it simmer for a while and then we talked about it. I'll spare you the details, but I was still bummed after we talked. I agree, I think once we get there, we'll be more excited. Thanks!

I hope he grows fond of it too! It is gold, he wanted to match my ring which is white gold. He also had second thoughts on tungsten and titanium when his mother's band had to be cut off her finger, because she couldn't get it off. Haha, I'll be sure to give him that kick in the butt.

Ugh... him and DF should have lunch :lmao: They are acting the same, lol!

Since DF lost his so many times in his last marriage.... I told him he would need to keep it for a year before I get him a real nice one. I've kept my e-ring for over a year... so I get a nice one :lmao:

He'll probably end up loving it and wanting to keep it :)

I think the ring looks gorgeous! I'm so sorry your DF is throwing a hissy fit about this. Jackie is right - a lot of men's rings aren't even made out of a valuable metal. My DH has a tungsten one that cost me $60. He loves the fact that it's indestructible. Just remind him about what really matters with the wedding and the marriage. Or, you know, you could just kick him in the butt :lmao:

I will probably get jumped on by any fellow men who read this, but the reality is womens rings ALWAYS cost more than mens, it's not a competition, it's just a fact! Speaking for myself, I'd rather my wife have the ring she loves and me have one out of a gum ball machine than get into stressing and fitting over my ring.

Perhaps the answer (speaking as devils advocate) would be to say "if you're going to have a fit over this, your budget is xxxxx, go get yourself a ring!"

:rotfl: Deena, I feel like we are one in the same! I hope he does end up liking it...and I hope you can get an upgrade! ;)

I think I might have to resort to the butt kicking...
I also think he's warming up to it...I hope!

Awww, Mr. Romance, you live up to your name! That was really cute.
I also told my fiance that the girls rings are usually more expensive, but he's in denial. Oh well, he has one now and he has to live with it!

I don't want to be rude by contradicting you, but my ring actually cost less... mine was in the $300 range and my husband's ring was in the $900 range (I can look the actual numbers up if you need me to)

SO technically, the women's ring doesn't ALWAYS cost more :)

So, this weekend was full of tricks and treats.

My future sister-in-law and her friend took me out to a Halloween pub crawl in Boston on Saturday. (You know, the day the northeast got slammed with the Nor'easter...) We dressed up like the Nintendo characters: Mario, Luigi and Wario. We ended up going to about 10 bars in 6 hours and needless to say, I was very loopy after my 5 cocktails and 1 double shot. :lmao: I got kissed on the cheek by a Ronald McDonald who couldn't believe I was getting married. :rotfl: And a TY Beanie Baby Cockatoo fell in love with my love story. Everywhere we went they kept yelling, "SHE'S GETTING MARRIED IN 2 WEEKS!!!". I will pretend this was my bachelorette party because I don't feel like drinking again for a while.
My FSIL as Mario and myself as Wario:

Then on Sunday night I met up with part of my Disney Store cast over dinner at Kowloon restaurant. We had fun laughs and talked Disney. ;) Then at the end of the night they surprised me with the best present EVER. Some of you may remember that I missed out and never got the Mulan Designer Doll back in August...Well, guess what they all managed to chip in and get for me!!!!:cloud9::lovestruc

I can't believe it's NOVEMBER. :confused3 This year has absolutely flown by and now I'm leaving for Disney 1 week from today! :goodvibes

I have a small list that is shrinking pretty rapidly (thank goodness). My one Maid of Honor, Kaitlin is coming over to help me allllll day today, because she is off from work! :thumbsup2

Things left to do:
Pay off Beaute Speciale
Call Mens Warehouse and confirm one last time
Finish assembling Welcome Bags
Complete place cards and alphabetize
E-mail photographers our list of 'must have' photos
Complete Drinking Around the World Shirts
Print grandparent photos and put in frames
Make ceremony programs
Design door hangers
Send big box of items to FL via UPS this week
Pick up wedding dress !!!
Dye hair and get nails done

I plan on checking about 6 or 7 things off the list today, so that'll be awesome!
COULD THIS POSSIBLY BE THE END?! :lmao:

Oh, and this is cool news too: We asked Chris' father if he could give us a ride to the airport next week, but he instead having a LIMO pick us up! I about fell over. I have never been in a limo, so I'm really excited! I'm gonna be outside at 6 am (when it picks us up) wanting to take pictures with it. :lmao:

Alright, well, I'll be reporting back with some little odds-n-ends soon! :yay:

I'm glad YOUR list is shrinking... I'm thinking of finding an assistant for a week

I also wanted to inform you that I WILL be creeping on your DP. I have dinner at Tutto Italia at 9:15 and plan to get a slushie in France and creep around to check out the DPs, lol.

Next week we will be Married--that's right--next week. The week after that we will be running around like chickens changing our name on EVERYTHING (I already have new checks picked out, lol). I can't believe we've made it!! :yay:
