Dangit! Thought I was done planning, and now Tour Guide Mike!

I joined last night and the only complaint I have so far, is that I can't pull myself away from my stupid laptop. I try to leave it behind and I'll be darned, it'll be in the room with me again! :rolleyes1

Please let us all know what you think of the site once you have had time to digest the information. And as I said in earlier posts utilize the boards, folks there will attempt to assist you in any way that they can. Mike also reads the boards and replies when need be.

I think I'm going to subscribe to help with planning our Thanksgiving 2006 trip. Although I've been many times to WDW, I've read many Disney vets reviews that they got valuable info from TGM. I can't resist.

It is a LOT to digest! So far I've already picked up some really good tips - ones that I haven't seen before, and I don't consider myself a newbie.

I'm really looking forward to getting to the "meat" of it and seeing all it has to offer.

It's the best $20 you can spend on a vacation that typically costs $4000+. Think about it..... Even if his site wasn't worth it, it only cost you $20. I bet he'd refund your money if you were not satisfied.

Be prepared to read lots and lots. :goodvibes

Just the park opening tip about Animal Kingdom (sorry can't tell any secrets!) was worth the $20 and then some.

:)

I can vouch for his refunds. I subscribed & later (a week or so) decided it wasn't what I was looking for. He refunded my $, no questions asked. That says a lot for the guy, IMHO.

That's good to hear because I always tell people you can always get your money back if you don't think the TGM site is what your looking for. Glad to know that he stands behind his money back guarantee statement.

I subscribed to TGM for my recent Oct trip and let me tell you it was so worth it. We were travelling with my 2 year old but still wanted to experience some fun adult stuff.

TGM - helped me get onto Dumbo like 5 times in 2 days (an incredible feet)
- we never waited our whole trip more than 10 mins (i think we only
waited this long once because we strayed from my plan and went on
the Jungle cruise in the aft and dd kept wanting to ride the carousel)
- walked on the following rides in MK- peter pan, winnie the pooh, small
world, Goofy's rollercoaster, the car ride thing in adventureland,
buzz light year, haunted mansion, pirates, splash mountain and
big thunder mountain.

TGM was invaluable to me especially with a little one, it is daunting at first the wealth of info but once you get a hang of the screens and flipping back and forth, a treasure trove of info awaits you.

Hi guys...........I just signed up for TGM for my upcoming late April trip. I think I will like it once I fish through the pages and pages and pages of information :earseek: but I do have a quick question. I looked and can't seem to find a way to print his touring plans in a nice "printer-friendly way" (when you get there it's best to do this, etc.). It would be great if I could print his plans on a small sheet of paper and take them with me...........I'm sure when I get to MK we'll all be so excited I'll forget everything I've read..........thanks

I would post this question on the TGM site.

Just curious..... I always thought that Tour Guide Mike was more for newbies, but it sounds like it actually might be more for someone who has researched & been there quite a few times.

I'm wondering if Mike has something to offer our family. We are a family who has made roughly 6 trips & learned (through much trial & error) how to avoid waits on our favorites and enjoy a smooth flowing vacation. If it is worth it, what are the costs associated with joining TGM? And what do we get?

Thanks!

Good info here. Might be helpful to copy your OP onto the Theme Park board too, for those there.

Evil, that is just evil....tempting me by saying there are potentially hours and hours of another Disney website I could lose time in! :teeth:

I have ALL week off from work! My butt will probably be permanently connected to the couch if I find a fresh site to go read! :rotfl: I already find that I'm checking the DIS boards nearly continuously!

(and yes, I couldn't resist...I just went and joined...can't let this week off go to waste now can I? :rolleyes1 )

Yeah me too. Untill I signed up last Spring for my August 2005 trip. Boy was I doing everything wrong. I really love it and I signed up again for our trip in January. I may not need it as much for Jan but I will never go to Disney without him again.

For some reason this thread was moved to the CB from the Theme Park Board, not sure why though. :confused3

There are some moderators that are very anti TGM and will do anything to bury any positive post about that site. So much for expressing an opinion. This thread will get closed before long.

Lorelai: I have been going to WDW since it's opening year and believed myself to be a pro for sure, However, after reading the TGM info I found I was not as much a pro as I thought. I learned so much.
And, the website is updated constantly with new and additional info.
MiKE has been doing VIP Holiday Tours but will be back with more and more updated information for his subscribers.
How can you lose with a $20 investment and money back guarantee.
Come on over, you would be very welcome. And, be sure to join in the forum for additional personal assistance.

Really? I would think they would like and promote open discussion about theme park planning.

FWIW, I like Mike's site, have used it several times. It's unique, good info.

Well, that is where it started out.

I'm not sure why it would have been moved since it is about Theme Park strategies. That is really strange.

If you look through the forums, you'll find posts of people who have spent a lot of time typing the info in small, printer-friendly formats for people to take to the parks with them. When I joined, I typed up these 3x5 cards -- one for each attraction and bundled them per park, then put them on a ring and carried them around in my waist pack. What a life saver!

Thanks to TGM and those cards, we never waited more than 10 minutes for any ride. I'll definitely be signing up again for our next trip.
