We are doing the double digit dance!! It didn't seem like it would ever get here but we are going in only 99 days!! We are staying at Pop for the fourth time and it's just like I have never been there before! I am sooo excited!

Only 4 for us, but our vacation starts tomorrow when we leave Winnipeg and spend 3 nights in Toronto!!!!

Tell me SplashMom, having been to the POP four times, what do you really love about it? We stayed lasy year at CSR but are thinking of doing a longer trip (10 days) in Oct & staying at POP. It just seems so "loud" to me....I'm thinking after spending a twelve hour day at the parks, I would prefer to come back to a nice quiet place...will I be disappointed at the POP?

Anyone with opinions, feel free to jump in too!!

About POP!....
Splashmom and pooksma are the ones that *convinced* (like we were a hard sell ) us to give it a go, and we're so glad they're such die hard fans - we had a ball.

We really enjoyed it...the food court area is really well laid out, ie, we were there at Christmas, and though crowded, everything moves well..lots of refillable mug drink stations

Pool areas are just fun - lots of lounge chairs close to the pool to keep an eye on the kids (we find the deluxe resorts are a little lacking on that - both quantity of pool chairs, and lots of landscaping close to the pool makes it hard to see)

We rented a van, so didn't use the buses.

Had a preferred room location, and very glad we did.

Hmmmm...what do we love about Pop? I think it's just so fun and family oriented.

We spend most of our days at the parks and when we return, although it can be loud and busy, it just feels like vacation to us. We have had preferred rooms facing the pool and have not heard any noise once we were inside of our room. The food court is good, the buses are great (although we often have a car), and we just feel so "Disney"!

We stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal, which are both deluxe resorts. While they are both gorgeous, they are not really our style. When we want to swim, it is nice to just come out of the room and go into the pool. Rooms at the other resorts can sometimes be quite a distance from the pool area, and the people don't look like they are having as much fun!! Maybe they are, but Pop just seems happier to us!

We spent time travelling to various resorts to get the "feel" of them so we could decide on somewhere different but we seem to return to Pop. I did like Port Orleans French Quarter--seemed very comfortable--but the family vote was for Pop!! Why pay more!
