Dancing with the Stars - it's back!!

Damn all of you!

Now I'm hooked on yet another TV program! THANKS! :happytv:

I agree with ya'll...Mario and Joey really needed that slap on the wrist...and so did their professional dance partners...they know the rules! I can't wait to see if they can pull off a dance without trying to be "hotshots". :rolleyes1

I have to say the Jerry Springer has never been one of my favorite personalities, but I do hope he can stick it out through the waltz for his daughter's sake. How sweet is that? :cheer2: He wanted to stay in the game long enough to learn how to properly waltz at his daughter's wedding. He's not been doing a bad job so far...like one of the judges told him...stick to the technical elements because he (Jerry) won't ever be able to keep up with the athletisism of the young guys.

I was impressed with Miss Sarah...guess sticking to her roots helped out cause she didn't look nearly as stiff as she had in the past weeks.

:dance3:

It just dawned on me that the music tonight is what was bothering me. I'm sure the dancing was good, but the songs were incongruent with the dance.

"Phantom of the Opera" for a Paso Doble? "Take it to the Limit" for a Waltz? Luckily, they are not rated on the music.

Monique was awesome. I'm glad Joe and Mario stayed within the rules. And Jerry needs to stay one more week as a sentimental favorite! The weakest this week I would say was Sara Evans. However, I so hated the music that may cloud my impressions.

But in some sense, they are judged on the music...at least in the sense that it makes an impression on the audience, who then votes. I completely agree - I am so distracted by the sometimes TERRIBLE music choices that it definitely affects my impression of the dancers. You're right - PHANTOM OF THE OPERA??!! That was horrible!! And even though I like that Bon Jovi song, I felt horrible that Nick and Vivica had to try and maintain their focus through that song that totally didn't go with their dance. Ugh!

I love the show - the music sometimes causes me to plug my ears!!

(P.S. - I am the only one who doesn't "get" why Sara Evans has made it this far? I love her little bio pieces prior to dancing, but I can't get into her dancing at all :confused3 )

Who are the Sara Evans fans that kept her in the race this week? I can't believe that Vivica lost to her. But then again, I don't vote, so I really can't complain too much.

Wonder what surprises are in store for the coming week.

I was really surprised this week..though Sara was outta there. I know she has a strong fan base in her music so I'm guessing they are voting like crazy. I didn't think Vivica did as good of a job with the Pasa Doble as the other dances...she just seemed a bit off in the arms...not sure. Yes, it was very nice that Joey and Mario stayed within the rules, but I just didn't like them as much this week. I was really impressed with Villa's waltz though...so graceful! And Monique...well, touching with the tears at the end. And well, yes, Jerry did a nice job this week for his daughter.

I agree with you both...the music choices have been totally weird...I just thought it was me though since I'm musically inept. I'm thinking this week it's either gonna be Sara or Jerry...except that they both seem to have large fan bases that keep voting for them...hum? Let's just watch and see...

All I can say is that tonight I will be seeing Jerry Springer in that shirt in my nightmares!

Lots of great scores tonight, I dont think Jerry can keep up with these guys. Have a feeling he is going home soon.

Answering your bump with a throbbing tooth, upon which I am going to have my second surgery in two weeks tomorrow, so it's just a seltzer for me.

And, while we are talking of things nauseating, did you get a look :joker: at the dress Sara Evans was wearing?????

Finally, I thought Mario and Karino just danced the best dance of the season. ::yes::

And ... now ... for Jerry, the comic relief!

Jerry was actyally pretty good, I take back what I said. I think he will stay another week.

Mario . . . Sigh!

Yeah...nothing like Jerry all faked and baked in that shirt, but so funny to watch! Okay, and not that I'm a skinny minny, but that dress Sara was in just was not very becoming on her at all...those costumers can do a lot better than that!!!

But, Villa??? I really liked her this week! More than Joey...he's starting to get on my nerves with all that head nodding and thank you's he's been saying. I'm thinking that we haven't heard the last of her and Max...they do make a nice couple and I'm thinking there's more.

So, we'll see what happens next week!

Did you guys hear? Sarah is going to get a divorce and quit the show. No plans at this time, the show says, to bring back anyone else - oh, how I wish they would bring back Willa - she and her partner were so fun to watch - on and off the dance floor!

Gossip ... just what I need when I'm stuck home due to the storm! You have to wonder if it's related to the show - if the split from her husband had been in the works for a while you would think that it wouldn't be so sudden & combined with her exit from the contest. This year seems to be filled with rumors of romance on the show. Well, if nothing else I'm sure it will increase the ratings.

Hey, Sue, how many inches did you get!!! :cold:

I'm guessing about 5-6" at my house but the problem is that it was very wet and very heavy so the trees are in bad shape. One of the trees in front of my house is so weighted down that the branches are laying in the driveway blocking my car. Could be worse though, many folks got a lot more snow and damage from trees falling. I know Buffalo has a bad reputation for snow but this is actually very early for us. And honestly other cities get more snow but we're more well known so we get the bad press. There's a travel ban so I'm stuck home today ... and thinking about my trip next week!!!!

We're right behind you! Have a magical trip!

And, yes, what is with all the romance on "Dancing" this season? Though, really, I have to laugh every time they insinuate a romance between Mario and Edyta! I mean, am I the only girl who thinks that boy likes boys? :confused3

Okay...if you meant Joey and Edyta...well...according to the show, he is married, but if you really meant Mario and his partner...forget her name, then uh, yeah :wave2: this girl agrees with you and has for quite some time.

And you are so right...all that romance...I really think though that there just might be something between Willa and Max...

I hadn't given that a thought...maybe they will bring her back since Sara has withdrawn...hum? :confused3
