So I actually saw someone dumpster-dive here yesterday. Saw an unfamiliar pickup truck pull into the lower driveway, back up to the dumpster, open the lids and have a look-see. Then he sort of looked around at the building, and proceeded to load the old refrigerator that someone had put out there, into his truck!!

Yes indeed there should be a holiday for the Melbourne Cup. Coming from a lover of all things horses.... I think we should have a national holiday here for the Kentucky Derby, but apparently we don't appreciate such things.

And then, on the rare occasions that a horse wins the Triple Crown, we should have that entire following week off. Revelry, dancing in the street, all that hoop-la.

We had the best trip didn't want to come home. The leaves are changing at the higher elevations and the color was really pretty.
