dance floor-the attic

Did anyone have a dance floor at the attic? Can you post pics? Thanks.

I didn't have a dance floor at the Attic but we danced inside near the doors that go out to the balcony. We only did that because of the rain. If its nice out I believe you dance out on the balcony which is a pretty nice sized area for the amount of people that can fit in the Attic.

Can you have a DJ out there too? Or is the space too limited for that? I really like the attic... just am hung up on the no dj and dancing at my wedding bit.

Im not sure. I don't see why you couldn't. I am not sure how the electric is outside. I think outside would really be the only place you could have a DJ. You could do an IPod. I believe Lurkyloo had an Ipod setup. Several other non-Attic brides have used Ipods instead of a DJ. An Ipod might be nice because at least you can have a choice of your own music. You can also hire someone from Disney to work the Ipod and equipment.

I like this idea. Because really who needs a full dj and all the equipment? I need someone with a mic and the ability to play some music! Not all of the other stuff!

Is the sound quality good out there? Does anybody know??

Also, does anybody know if you can even set it up on the deck??

We used an ipod at the attic, it's way easier to be able to choose your own music. Sound quality was good and there is definitely room to dance if you wanted to out there. I just had my maid of honor hit play and we were good to go.

I am pretty sure they have speakers set up inside and out. I know the equipment person that hooks up all that would make sure you can hear everything inside and outside. It really pretty if its nice out and you can dance on the balcony. You have all the lights of the boardwalk in the background and of course Spaceship Earth at EPCOT.

As Toni said, we had an iPod and did our dances on the deck. We danced in the part that sticks out from under the roof. We had DH's cousin cue up iPod playlists that I had assembled. Disney set up 2 speakers - one inside and one on the deck, and the sound quality was great.

If it rains at the attic does it lose any impact on the cool views of the boardwalk? I'd assume most ppl wouldnt venture out into the rain.

You would actually be surprised. We had no problems and actually I think the rain is even better because the lights reflect off of the boardwalk. I loved it.
