Danauk's long awaited return trip to DLP - day 1

I am planning to stay at Hotel New York also. Trying to decide how much the "view" matters (whether I want to pay to upgrade). When I go, it won't be a rink like in your photo but just open space. Did you notice that area being noisy, I guess particularly around wake up or going to bed. Wasn't sure how much foot traffic was in the area.

And at Walt's. There are several themed rooms, right? Do all of them have window views? Was it easy to look about the other rooms or would that have been disturbing to other diners? The gallery area looks very "tight". Did you feel that you were eating with strangers at all? Seems hubby enjoyed his food more than you did, would you go back?

I have stayed at the New York twice now and each time got a view of the ice rink, once when it wsa an ice rinkm the other it was a play area with bikes etc (although both times booked standard view.) The area doesn't get that busy and you don't hear noise from down there.

I would definately eat at Walts again. The room we were in only had 4 tables in it but it was nice and roomy. We didn't look in the other rooms when we ate there (but did the following day on our guided tour). I guess looking around the other rooms might have disturbed other diners. And no not all the rooms have window views of Main Street. You could ask for a Main Street window view though when you checked it I guess.

I'm impressed with how much you did considering your early start :thumbsup2
