I have booked my cruise with a local TA, but I have a call into Dana for a quote. If it's better can I transfer? Has anyone done this?

If you already transferred to Costco, you won't be able to transfer to Dana. Her prices are usually a few dollars less than Costco, but you get great personal service, which is something you don't get with Costco. You might have her just reprice a new cruise for you to see. If you booked really early and the prices have gone up, it might be difficult to get her to beat your price.

I called Dana a little over a month ago based on the positive reviews I've read on the boards. In the middle of all the chaos surrounding Frances and Ivan (She's in Florida) - she took the time to answer my email and let me know that she hadn't forgotten about me.

As soon as DCL was ready to discuss non-hurricane related cruises, Dana called and gave me the best quote on the repositioning cruise. 5 minutes later everything was switched over to micdan's.

I am very pleased with how she has handled everything!!! She definitely puts her customers first! :)
 

I initally booked with Costco - could this be transferred if their price was better? Also - does anyone know how their prices are for the California cruises?

No, Dana won't be able to transfer your Costco booking.

I was in the same situation where I booked through Costco, read about Dana on these message boards, and received a quote from her that beat Costco.

Dana is great to work with. She was able to find a room very close to where I originally was booked, so I booked with her and cancelled my Costco reservation. Her customer service level won me over. The better pricing was icing on the cake.

She got my vote also - don't think I would ever book with anyone else. The nicest person I ever delt with. Booked 7 night 2006 cruise, her prices were the best. Then talked to her about the 2005 cruise I had booked. Her prices were better but since I was already booked with another TA it took a while to get a release from them and have my reservation back to my control. She took a lot of time with me, explaining what to do and never lost her cool when I kept loosing her E-mail address and kept calling. Only wish I had learned about her sooner. Thanks to whoever posted original message. And thanks to Dana.

I'm glad, but surprised, that so many people have had good experiences with her. I've left messages on their 800 number since last week (in addition to requesting quotes on their web site), and no one has gotten back to me.
 
Same here Marcy. We are playing phone tag. I leave her a message, then she leaves me one hours later. Maybe eventually we will connect.

Dana won my business. I transferred my 12/11/04 Eastern reservation to her. I plan to rebook while I'm on board for next December and will do the same - again - mostly likely.

Wow!!! I just talked to Dana. She is saving me a considerable amount of money. I did ask her if I could have a day to talk it over with my DH. I am kinda nervous about using a TA so far away but everything I've read on here has helped me with that. So I am sure I will do it. Oh and I am kinda nervous about cancelling my other one. But it should be fine. I also got the cabin I wanted.

BTW Dana said she is will answer all calls she has been super busy with the hurricanes.

Please tell me I should do it so I don't feel so nervous. :Pinkbounc

Okay, strike what I said earlier.

Dana may be the nicest human being who has ever lived. Is she always that nice and upbeat? By 4 pm, I usually want to club baby seals, yet she was extremely nice and helpful.

Oh, yeah, and we're now booked on a 2006 Eastern. And it was $100 less than the lowest quote I received.
 
I have been singing this woman's praises for 2 years now! I am sooo glad that yall are listeninG! I am so glad that she was able to help as many of you as she has!!!!!!!!
 
Okay I cancelled my cruise with my local TA and I am just waiting for Dana to call me back. :D
