Has anyone been there? We are going to be in the area on my bday. Even though I HATE football DH and DS love it and specifically the dolphins so I said we could dine there that night. Will I be dissapointed? Any chance they will see some football folks?

I went there a couple of years back with some friends. We were in town just prior to the Superbowl in January and watched a play off game there.

We had a good time. The food was good if unremarkable in it's variety, the beers good and cold, and it wasn't particularly expensive as I recall. And the atmosphere was good - relaxed but buzzy at the same time, maybe because of there being such a big game on.

As for seeing football folk, that's a case of pot luck I'd guess - you are going before the playoffs start as far as I can tell, so most people will still be playing.

We had a couple of wifes with us, neither particularly big sports fans, and they still seemed to enjoy themselves. You could certainly do a lot worse than choose Marino's, and as for the guys, I think they'd love it.

But hey, it's your birthday, you should get to choose the venue ! ;)

If this is the one on International Drive, My wife and I didn't care for the food, though if you want football folk, in the same mall/complex at the end by fao schartz there is another sportsbar ( don't remember the name) that had dolphin appearnces by paul warfield and maybe larry csonka if I remember correctly.

It was our first day in town and we missed Larry and Paul by a couple of hours, Larry was my favorite dolphin as a child. :(

you can probably figer it out by doing a search for fao in orlando on international drive, then pull up a map of the plaza/mall etc.

hope this helps

Well, if you are talking about the TT in Ft. Lauderdale you may have a chance of seeing someone related to football eating there....but being football season and which day of the week you will there, just like WDW, you never know! I think you will like it , even if you really do not care for football at all you. If you don't want to risk it for your B-day celebration, why not grab lunch there and do something you feel more sure about for dinner? Now me, p:teeth: :teeth: :teeth: , ummm, yeah, I'd have NO PROBLEM celebrating my birthday there! Shula's also is VERY nice and full of Fins decor...upscale, $$$$. Top notch, just like Dan and Don. Enjoy whatever you choose, and happy birthday!

(with Miami's current record, 5/4, I doubt they will be out celebrating along the strip before the game, bring 'em luck!)

We are going to the orlando one. We will be eating there on a Friday night. I hope they see someone related to football, I personally could care less where I eat my bday dinner, the cruise is my present :)
