Dallas Weekend Trip

I am going to Dallas this weekend to spend time with my stepdaughter while she is out visiting. Her Dad has to work (love the ARMY), what are some fun things to do in the area, she is 9 & my niece is 8. I figured we would have a slumber party in the hotel but I need some ideas for during the day. Budget Ideas welcomed!!!

Where are you staying? If you don't mind a drive, the Fort Worth Zoo is alot of fun, but it will be HOT (especially this weekend), but since you live in Texas, you'll be "used" to it There is the Dallas World Aquarium in downtown Dallas, it's a little pricey but fun (and indoors!). You might think about one of the water parks, other than Hurricane Harbor, there is one in Garland and one in The Colony, Hawaiian Falls or something like that.

If you want to shop, the Galleria is nice, so is Willow Bend Mall and Stonebriar (in Frisco).

Oh, Fort Worth also has the Japanese Gardens, they are pretty cool. I'm not sure how much 8/9 year olds will be into it though
