On November 27th we plan to be at Animal Kingdom. That day has EMH. I think we can get to the park by 7:00 am but likely not any earlier with a 5 year old, a 16 year old. Will that be enough time to get a ride or 2?
We will Uber from Movies just before 7AM. We made a promise to each other no waking up before 6 AM.
If that gives us time.... What is Kilimanjaro like that early? Is it too 'cool' and early for the animals? Trying to decide if we go there first or if we head to Everest for a couple runs.

Thank you for advice/experience.

Have fun.

We did the EMH 7a-8a last Spring and it was fabulous the crowd level. We rode Dinosaur 3 times in a row without having to get off. Hit Expedition, It's Tough to Be a Bug in the hour too. The animals and safari didn't open until 8:00 though that particular day. So now sure if that's changed since then

OH that is really helpful. I would hate to get there early and plan to head to KS and have it not opened.

TwoCortWort- how early did you get to The park for the 7:00 am start? I really don't want to rush our crew too much. So hard to ask people to wake up before 6 am, but we can get ready in 30 min if we need to.

While I can completely respect that you should always plan to be early, I am much more of a just in time person. I am completely comfortable showing up for a flight 20 min before departure. I am known not to leave my house sometimes till an hour before departure.
I did work at Magic Kingdom at front gate a couple years ago and I remember there were many 'slow week' EMH's where family's would arrive 30-40 min before EMH and it really made very little difference in the time they got to the rides vs people that arrived 30 min later. Now this did all depend on the crowd. On a busy day and for park opening every 5 min made a difference.
I am pretty sure I know what we would do if we were going to Magic Kingdom but there is never enough time in the day for MK. Also, I am not familiar with the crowds at DAK during EMH. This will be our first time. While this might sound like a waste for some, I really only want to be able to ride 1 or 2 rides before the 8:00 am time. Most likely it will be Dinosaur (1 time) and EE. I guess I am more relaxed since I am not concerned about us being able to see/ride everything we have planned during the day before closing.

Would you say that at 6:45 or 7:00am there will be a large crowd there for EMH where it would be important to be at the front of the line to get the best shot at short lines just like a normal rope drop? Or would we possibly be able to visit 1-2 rides if we show up at DAK bus stop by 7:00-7:10 am?
We have our 3 FP+ that we will use for the other attractions that typically have longer lines.

We tried to do 7am EMH during Easter week, but the darn bus at WL never showed up. We ended up not getting to AK until about 7:30am. We were able to hop on Everest a couple of times, then knocked out Dinoland.

Great. Thanks. That sounds like what we are hoping to do. And I would guess Easter and thanksgiving are probably comparable.
