Deb must still be at the beach~ and good for her!!

Well I'm off today because it's vj dY in RI. We are the only state that
still celebrates it.

To do:
laundry
pay bills
mail cards
menu plan for week
work on bedroom. Trying to get it cleaned out so dh will paint it!!
Change sheets

that'll do it for now.

Mornin'.... today is the last day of summer vacation for my kids...

Today:
DS14 to soccer practice before the heat
last minute clean up
punch holes & tie 12 paperbag albums
fold the last 15 DONE!!!
type up instructions for teacher using the paperbag albums
write DS9's teacher name and room # on index card like always
dishes
clean up basement
DS9 to back to school night to drop off supplies and fill out paperwork
showers
early bedtime

Hi, all!

We're back in town - FIL's 90th birthday party went well! DH's family is fortunate - they've had several of these for various relatives, but ours was a bit "different" and folks seemed to enjoy the changes and our personal spin on things. We did have a bit too much drama on the 8+ hour car drive - two hours into the trip, we suddenly lost our brakes! Got them back about ten minutes later (also suddenly), but then spent the rest of the trip driving in the far right lane and worried that we'd lose them again! No mishaps on the drive home, but we also spent those 8 hours worried...sigh. Nothing obvious - brake fluid level seemed stable and fine - but need to get this checked out.

Today: Pick up dog. Unpack. Laundry. Thank you notes. Mechanic. Regroup.

Morning everyone!
Thought I would just check in.
PBF~ scary brakes and weird! Have those checked out very soon!
PN~ we go back to school tomorrow too so dont know what the kids want to do today.

Our news is that we have a new addition to our family...
Molly! she is a 10 wek old standard, long hair dachshund, red but right now more of a sable color and is adorable.
She already lekes to scrap, just ask my paper and baggies of scrap stuff. Everything now has to be off the floor!
Padfoot has adjusted very well. The way she has him moving I think he will lose some weight.
I will post photos later.

Pixie dust and prayers for all who need it and those who dont think they do, too!

Ah, new puppy! Congrats!

I'm at work. DH took the day off to take care of Morgan. Only 3 weeks and 1 day to figure out (technically 10 days - since I work MWF). Can't wait to get that kid back to school!

Pam, we missed you at Feed your Face Food Fest, but I'm glad to hear you had a good time. Take care of that car!

It's DS5's first day of kindergarten, DS14's first day of high school, DS8's first day of 3rd grade. Ok, I am more than a little emotional....trying to stay busy cleaning and finishing a couple of swaps. Back to work for me too with my babysit kids...

Pam Did I mention That happened to me once too, never did find out the problem.

My to do list:

Wake up at 3:00 am, this was not by choice.
Feed cats
Write in DD's communication book
Get DD ready for school
Work
caffeinate
schedule appt to pick out Cpap machine.
Fold and put laundry away
Put a load of whites and colored clothes thru the wash
Hopefully early to bed.

Well, meet the teacher went well... We love his teacher!! Having had her before w/ DS14 in 4th grade.. we know the routine.. she said nothing much has changed.... DS9 and her will work well together!!!!

My DD is furious.. she was told at 5pm today that they are running XC tomorrow morning @ 7:25am... that means she'll have to get dressed to get first day of school photos and then change clothes, go run, come back home clean up and go back to school.... I mean seriously.. I understand its the heat index...but have them run later after school.. all other sports are getting out of school, going home and coming back for practices.... but before school on the first day... "it is what it is".. We are still doing our 1st day of school traditions will just have to do them a little earlier than we would normally...
