Good Morning Ladies

Hope all college kiddos are doing well
Cassey- Glad you had a good trip
Prayers and :tinker: Pixie Dust for those in need (which may be me, since my DH is in Madrid for the whole week and I am running solo :goodvibes)

Today
Organize for the day
Survive work- busy day
Do the kid shuffle
Clean a little this evening
Unpack from the weekend (and organize DH's packing mess from Sunday night)
Relax a little
Go to bed early because I obviously didn't sleep well tonight

Morning!

I hate when DH is gone, but he's never been gone that far. Mostly I hate how poorly I sleep when he's gone. But it's my dog's fault. She goes into hyper vigilant mode when he is gone at night and every little noise sets her off. I love her and she makes me feel safe, but I can't spend all day making up the sleep like she can

Today:

Work
Clean the "public rooms"
Cub Scout leader training
Kit for crop tomorrow
Nap if necessary, but hoping to make it without

We were thinking about taking the dog over to the lake for a bit this afternoon, but DH may have changed his mind, so we'll see.

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning!

Prayers and pixie dust to all in need.

Vacation is officially over, it's back to work today. Need to runn to the grocery store after work for a few things, but other than that nothing planned for today.

Hope everyone enjoys today!

Good Morning!

Last day before full time work for a few weeks with lots of early mornings- I have to leave the house by 6:30 for the day.

Rebecca

Good morning :)

Sounds like everyone is busy, hope y'all get everything done :thumbsup2

Rachel (aka MusicalDisneyDreams) could use some P & PD pixiedust: Yesterday we found out that in addition to the Epstein-Barr her blood tests also showed 2 food allergies (corn & soy) and the doctor is also treating her for asthma. Poor thing :sad2: She is also really missing her sister.

Those of you who have food allergy kiddos do you have any good advice for me? We learned about the soy allergy about 2 weeks ago so I've gotten really good at reading labels and donating food that she can't have. Any other ideas for me?

My list:

Drive Rachel to school
Continue to purge "allergy foods" from the house
Post office to mail Sarah a care package and a swap box
Vaccuum & dust upstairs
Dinner??? maybe something with chicken

Have a great day :goodvibes

Good morning

Turning in paperwork today to serve as an independent p/t Reading Consultant for this school year. A few more weeks til they get started.

Working on my Universal pages - kind of a kick after doing Disney all these trips. Did find some great Harry Potter paper.

Beautiful and cool this morning, so nice to have the a/c off for a few days. It has been costly this summer.

Cheryl, I will keep Rachel in mind and hope that her allergies are avoided with the right food. Two of my daughters also have food and other allergies - get weekly shots. I have no real advice, they do take care of it themselves, but I know what I don't keep in the house when they are here.

To all you ladies who are experiencing the empty nest syndrome - hugs to you!!!

Cheryl,

Prayers to Rachel... So sorry to hear she is getting diagnosised now..but so glad it's being diagnosised now before she is off at college... I wish I had some advice for you..but I don't...all I can do is lend an ear if you need it... to Rachel.

Hope Sarah is doing well and enjoying herself.. Did her classes start this week?

To all others: prayers and pixie dust to those in need.. I hope all of you accomplish your lists and get lots done today.

Today:

check DC on PJ's care package
email PJ's address to family members that requested

await tree trimmers (didn't show yesterday; DH gave them an earful)
once over house
pick up DS11
homework/snack
set up skype session for PJ and DS11
DS11 to soccer w/ DH
pick up DS16 from soccer
take DS16 to DS11's soccer to help (volunteer hours for school club)

Goodness, Cheryl, when it rains it pours on that girl! My sister has Epstein-Barr, in addition to Fibromyalgia...So, she's either tired, in pain, or tired and in pain. Good luck with the food allergies. Hope it gets all worked out quickly so she can enjoy her Senior Year!

Glad you're feeling better, Cassey.

I'm off. We went to NH for the weekend, it was fun. Went to a few places I had been as a kid. Good memories. DH is on vacation this week, so we went to the drive in last night and saw Timothy Green, it was very good.

No big plans for the day. Morgan is finishing her summer reading project (7 days!), and wants to go get a backpack.

Hope everyone has a good day!

does that include corn sryup?? what doesn't have that in it now a days
read, read, & read some more & keep cheking those labels, you never know when they decide to change things up on you

Hope its a wonderful Tuesday.
No activities today!
Hoping to work out but ds is already waking up.

Work on cutting stuff.
Kids to do more unpacking/putting away. Few more days till open house.
Tonight, I am headed out for some fun! Meeting up with lawanna to collect swaps and a few other to celebrate my bday!

Hope e everyone has a great day!

Thanks for the well wishes for Rachel. I'll be sure to give her lots of hugs from her DIS aunties when I pick her up at school today.

What we are learning is that almost everything that is processed either has some type of soy or corn syrup in it. I have found a few processed organic items that she can eat. Thank goodness we found some bread. Good thing she was wanting to learn how to cook more things. Seems we'll be eating mostly homemade now ;)

Sarah loves school!!! At least she did yesterday, we'll see how she feels tonight...Tuesday and Thursday are her long days.

Glad you are finding helpful information for Rachel... Best to start her on the cooking track to her new lifestyle now...

Glad Sarah is enjoying school.. Mondays are PJ's long day.. today is 2 classes.. tomorrow is 3, thursday 1 class (and has been noted as laundry day while everyone else is in class.. LOL), friday is 2 classes if I remember correctly. Hope she is still liking it after her long day! It's so nice that both girls are doing well...

Ok, back to cleaning.. the cleaning fairy didn't show... so I'm on a mission to fire her backside! ;)

Oooh I think Sarah would like PJ's schedule. My crazy kid is taking 19 credits :scared1: and auditioning for the musical. She has loads of classes because all her music performance classes (ie choir, symphony, jazz, etc) are only 1 credit each. At least she'll be too busy to get into too much trouble ;)

Cheryl, for Rachel. Be thankful she wants to learn to cook, it really is the best way to deal with food allergies. So many processed foods have many of the common allergens, making from scratch you can avoid many of them annd eat healthier too!

19 credits seems like alot for the first semester, hope she does well and loves all her classes as that will make it easier for Sarah.

Welcome home Lisa! Glad you and Megan had a great trip!

I agree that 19 is a lot, but, 7 of those are music performance of some type so she'll enjoy those. She only had 17 when I left her on Friday. The music professors talked into addin 2 more choirs ;)

On a happy note we found out that Rachel can have Ben & Jerry's chocolate fudge brownie ice cream :cool1: She said it was delish!

Happy Birthday Rachal!!!! Almost missed those 2 little words "my birthday"
at the end of your post

Happy Birthday, Rachal! Hope it was a good one. Didja get your Cameo? (We're only a few days apart).
