Dad needs to sleep upright - what to do on vacation?

Hello,
I am asking a question for my dad - I'm hoping someone may have some advice/experience with a similar problem.

My dad has arthritis that affects his arms and shoulders. It doesn't bother him much during the day but at night laying down makes him very uncomfortable.
At home he just sleeps in his recliner because he is comfortable there.

He has an increasingly difficult time sleeping during his WDW trips, he stays on property but is often uncomfortable or in pain laying down at night. Propping up with pillows doesn't help. He also has a folding wedge shaped pillow with armrests but that is too small with too little support for sleeping upright.

My family and I are traveling to the World again next fall and my dad would like to join us - I was hoping to find a solution to his sleeping problem so he will be more comfortable on vacation.

Thanks for any help/advice. :)

Medical supply stores (the ones who rent scooters for example) usually also rent recliners that help you get up. He could rent one for the length of your stay and be able to sleep upright.

I know that some people from the boards have rented lift chairs/recliners from CARE Medical

Yes.

Check out post 2 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread. As you scroll down, you will find a list of companies that rent equipment.
They can work with Houseeping to remove furniture if needed to make room.
