This is my first pre-trip report, hopefully I can follow the proper protocol. I have been a lurker on this site since I starting planning our trip in Dec 06'. Ive read a few others and quite enjoyed them as I hope you enjoy mine.
Some background on the group:
We are from the north country of Michigan. Our original plan was to go in this week for spring break of 2007 but when I reasearch the crowds and our family schedule we move the trip to May 5th - 13th.
The Cast:
Me(38): On the road salesguy for the last 10 yrs, I'm home every night so it works out good.
Nickname: Parrothead - I guess for my love of Jimmy Buffett, but secretly obsessed with Disney as well.
Last visit to WDW was 1994
DW(31): just celebrated 8 yrs of marriage yesterday, she's still able to work her spells on me. Best of all, she is a nurse. Planning this trip was for her hard work for the last two years as she graduates April 25th from college, earning her Bachelor's degree in Cardiology nursing.
Nickname: Lilo - trying to keep with tropical theme
Last visit to WDW - 1985
DS(7): Not much to explain but he is a typical boy, sports, sports, sports
Nickname: Stich pretty much explains it all
DD(5): Innocent and sassy as can be. Loves all the "girl" Disney characters. Nickname: Ariel - her favorite because she is beautiful
OUR PLANS
Leave Detroit Airport Sat May 5th @ 2:15 nonstop flight to Orlando, arrive @ 4:45, use Magical Express to All Star Sports, we are also on the dining plan.
Plans:
Sat - Arrive and relax as much as possible before the big week. Maybe explore the resort
Sun - Epcot, figure we would get this park out of the way first,
ADR @ Garden Grill
Mon - MGM, ADR's @ Hollywood & Vine for lunch, Sci-Fi for dinner
Tues - Magic Kingdom - ADR @ Cinderally Royal Breakfast
Wed - A day to relax, no parks, but ADR @ 1900 Park Fare
Thurs - Morning @ Typhoon Lagoon, afternoon back to MK, ADR @ Crystal Palace
Fri - Animal Kingdom - ADR @ Chef Mickeys
Sat - No Parks, just relax, I think we will need it. Most likely go to DTD at sometime to have lunch or dinner @ Earl of Sandwich
Sun - Fly Home
Thanks for taking the time to stop in. Feel free to leave a suggestion or offer advice or even criticism should you feel the need.
