I had read that the site was operational so I popped over to check it out myself.

The forums are open although there is no word from Kris and pretty much dead.

The site itself -- I was able to log into and it seems to me that there are some new links. Of course, I haven't been over there in quite some time so maybe there are just new to me. Out of curiousity I clicked on some and found 4 that credited me.

Not that that means anything or that I'm saying to rush over there and start clicking. I just thought it all to be curious since a few days ago it had that message for the owner to call and the domain registration was expired previously.

Like I said, I'm not endorsing DA or saying hurry up and click -- because I'm not at this point. I just thought I'd pass along what I found in case anybody was interested.

I see that Karen and Denise have posted over there...Does anyone know where Kris is?? I didn't belong to DA, but I have been keeping up with the "story" lately since I keep reading about it...Where did Kris go??

No one knows. As far as I know she still owes a lot of people money. No one could cash out this last quarter.

Beanie - she has vanished into thin air after a series of long intervals in which she didn't post on her own boards, but would attack anyone who questioned her. "Apparently" her common law marriage broke up, she moved in with her mom and her computer broke. People still are owed lots of money and she was giving excuses up to the very end. What some of her supporters have failed to mention that she had to be receiving some income from advertisers, but instead of paying folks the rewards they were owed she continued updating the website.

Ok, called me a glutton for punishment, but I popped over to DA to check it out and saw this post from lority referring to a letter she received recently in the mail...

It is a letter from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Office Of Attorney General. It goes on to say my complaint has been received by the Bureau of Consumer Protection and will be reviewed by Frank F Duschek. The Bureau will attempt to resolve your complaint within a resonable length of time based on the info I gave. I have a file number too.

I asume this is from the website that was given out to file a complaint.

Just thought I'd update everyone.

I did a little research on Kristi too. I found her home phone and address and have called her a few times. Guess what, no one answers and no machine.

If she's telling the truth, she moved out of the home she shared with her common law husband and moved in with her mother. At least that is what I remember from a post a long time ago. I think it was around the time she had computer problems.

lampy, you called her ... wow! I'll bet she's got call display or something I haven't filed one of those complaints yet because I'm from Canada so I don't know if that would apply to me ... but if anyone has the link ... I'll give it a shot and see what happens.

This site is currently undergoing re-construction! Members will have Limited access. New Project Manager in charge of programming is moving the site and enabling the cash out system. This will be completed within 60 days from February 19, 2003. ALL Members who are eligible to cash out will be able to do so once the cashout procedure is fully operational. No cash outs will be paid until they can be properly accounted for. After that, this site will no longer be open to the public, it will be by invitation only. Hmmmm, that's ... confusing to me or maybe it's just because I haven't had my caffeine jolt yet this morning.

It just created more questions for me --
*what if you don't have quite enough points to cash out?
*what is the determining factor as to who will be invited to join?

I think I'll just wait and see what happens.

60 days ... looks like I won't get my DD$ for my trip Not that I was expecting them or anything... *lol* ... Well, I hope that its true and the members will indeed be allowed to cashout. I won't be holding my breath though... Reading over the message again... It doesn't sound like something Kris would write. It seems a little too... formal.
