D7000 available at B&H

Since these things are so sporadically available -- and since mine is already on its way and should be delivered tomorrow -- I thought I'd pass on word that the body-only configuration of the Nikon D7000 is available at this writing from B&H Photo. Who knows how long they'll last?

They also have (and have had for several days) the bundled version as well.

Surprising that these things are so hard to get. I've had mine since Nov 2010. The lack of stock might make mine easy to sell when I get the D800

Floods in Thailand and of course the earthquakes in Japan have slowed production quite a bit over the last year or so. Some retailers have gone without stock for months at a time. I have heard of people asking -- and getting -- the same price for a used D7000 (in excellent condition, I'd imagine) as a new one commands. I've also heard of people selling them for more than the price of a new one.

But I'd keep a weather eye out, matey -- the D7000's updated version may be announced later this year. At that point, the market for the current model will likely shrink. Just an educated guess.
