I have a lot of thoughts!!

First, a lot of incessant updates on stuff we already know.

I love Festival of Fantasy but am kind of jealous at Disneyland’s new parade
Cirque show is exciting but again we spent too much time on it if you ask me.
Target is great. I once forgot to pack pants and this would help with that 😂

Avengers Campus is exciting and I look forward to the idea of the campuses interacting with each other! Love Spider-Man, am confused at what the avengers ride is, and happy they chose black panther for the 3rd ride. I’m also super hyped to meet Ant Man and all the characters they are bringing in.

As for EPCOT they teased figment so much for not actually ever bringing him up!!! That said I am so excited. I have been very worried about this remodel but that imagineer sounded good and honestly I’m seeing where the original park’s vision lines up with what we are getting. It seems to me to be taking the old stuff and making it more modern and easily adaptable. I see how they got play from wonders of life and I think dreamers point sounds just amazing!!!! I think that was my favorite part of the panel. I hate to lose the name Future World but we will probably still call that area that anyway 💁🏻‍♀️. It really just refers to the side of Epcot lol. As for SSE I love it. In my point of you it was always about how the world has been brought together through time as communication developed and part of that for me has always been the storytelling aspect. This doesn’t feel far from the current iteration to me and I gotta say, as a librarian I am hyped. Moana also got me excited. It is the perfect integration of IP into Epcot if you ask me. Educational but character inspired. It also seems super family friendly and honestly gonna help in the summer 😂
I am kinda mad we didn’t get a new country, we should be getting a second maybe even a third country for EPCOTs 50th but maybe I’m being greedy. It’s been too long as it is.
Happy to hear the 50th will be a Disney worldwide celebration but honestly would have been horrified to hear otherwise!
Can’t believe they shoved IP into MDE, classic Chapek. Interested to see how it looks but hate the idea any TAs will lose business, but I honestly don’t think Disney is capable of technology sophisticated enough to do so at this point so not toooooo worried.

Reflections looks better than I expected and I’d actually like to stay there. I am better they got Tianas place and wish they had taken the Pocahontas idea and ran with it more.
Star Wars hotel: amazing but expensive, I tuned out for my own well being and also I’m just sick of Star Wars news at this point. I want new news lol. Still excited for all the new Star Wars stuff though

Joe Rohde working on Lighthouse point might drive me to go on my first Disney Cruise. I think he is perfect for this job knowing that the locals were worried about preserving their culture.

I’m curious what the final verdict will be on the imagination pavilion, as they say on podcast the ride: keep it, plus it up, or burn it down?!

Do we think this is the end of park’s news for awhile or just that they couldn’t fit everything? I hope we don’t have to wait too long for new updates.

They said TAs would have access and there will always be people who hate planning their own trips no matter how many perfectly crafted tools are at their disposal lol

I'm not an international guest. I would love to have a Target or similar store accessible by Disney transportation just in case I need something. I am not driving, and I am not experienced or comfortable with Uber/Lyft/Taxis.

If we have to find our own transportation to it, what's the point?
This I'm assuming it will be like in Disney Springs or there is no point

Just wanted to say I appreciate you making a reference to podcast: the ride. One of my faves!

So... ah... any idea about the live stream reaction? I mean... it's not like I'm over here refreshing YouTube or anything. I've got plenty of patience.....

Craig's done a great job uploading most of the presentation in segments. I just thought they'd go live immediately after, that was their plan all weekend. I hope nothing's wrong with anyone....

I've read it'll (likely) be in Flamingo Crossing, which makes sense considering all the hotels and the college program apartments relocating there.
I'm an avid Target shopper they have same day pick up and ship it so as long as it's close I guess we will figure out how to get stuff.

Well, I found this to be blah.

I'm sure I'll get schooled on why it wasn't, but I mean...Target? Yay?

Spaceship Earth - i'm afraid the animatronics in current form are going to be history.

No date for Railway and summer for Rat. Sucks.

And unless I missed it, we learned absolutely nothing new for WDW besides what's already been speculated about, and actually half the speculation didn't even come to fruition.

Sure there were announcements for the other parks, but I'm not visiting France, China or anywhere else to see Disney. I'll be doing other things, so those announcement hold no interest for me.

Oh well, they can't all be big announcements.

a lot of good thoughts! Just a few comments from my end in response

I think the announcement and description of Dreamers Point and the Walt Statue was my favorite part - and the festival center area seems really interesting and could/should provide some amazing views

As for SSE I am cautiously optimistic - I really, really does need some updating and love and what they describe sounds pretty neat (potentially) and a good mix of new thoughts and technology while retaining some of the "heart" of the original ride. Seems like something though that could go really right or really wrong based on execution

I am surprised no new country yet either as it just seems to be out there all the time ... though I am not as desperate for a new country (I would love one, but not biggie if we don't get one) so it is waht it is I guess

I agree about Joe Rohde being involved on Lighthouse has me really excited and now we might not be one-and-done with Disney Cruiseline (we liked our cruise, but not sure we liked it *enough* for the cost - this might change that equation)

As for the Genie negatively impacting TAs, I actually think this might increase their value if they can set up and monitor my "genie" - make it easier for everything to be organized but for those that want low touch, let their TAs do the heavy lifting

I think there could still be more news coming - and skeptical part of me things it might be the more negative news (like closures, etc.)

It looks like Imagination is part of Celebration, but not Nature? I'm guessing that big path near Imagination will be the first area that feels like the completed neighborhoods will.

Really glad to see Epcot get a lot more greenery and a coherent "Main Street". That's 90% of what the park really needed. It's such a wonderful place but makes such a bland first impression right now.

i thought the live stream was real good. i was able to watch the entire thing without interruption. although i was dissappointed and actually bored watching it, not sure what i was expecting but it wasnt that.

The year they announced Galaxy's Edge - that was a fun one to watch!

If Target isn’t even on property why was it included today? Because of the mini Disney stores popping up in ones around the country?

They are building one near WDW now I think. Yes it will have the Disney store pop ups.

I'm must be insane. I can't believe this would even be an announcement (I know why, but still), let alone how long the devoted to it today.
I can't understand how people would be excited about a Target being built near Disney.
Who are these people they talk to who say they've been "clamoring" for a way to buy Disney products?
:confused3

what did the big secret end up being...was it the part about a special imagineer program within disney+ or something about that.
