I am planning a trip to the D23 expo this year with four friends. We are all 18-19 years old an don't have much experience traveling in general. Is there any advice on the expo that we should know? Hotels to avoid? Places to eat? When to buy tickets? What to do at D23? How are crowds at Disneyland/ CA during the week after D23? Anything really helps. Thank you!

The further you stay (hotel) away from the Expo location (Anaheim convention center), the cheaper it is. You can get ART tickets (bus) to take you to the location. I would stay on a hotel on Harbor, Katella, or Ball (convention center is at Katella & Harbor).

You should be able to get discount Disneyland tickets through the D23 expo website (there's a special link). If you are a D23 member, you should get the tickets earlier rather than later (the closer to the expo you purchase the tickets, the less of a discount you get.) I'm not sure if you can get discount tickets if you are a free D23 member or if you have to be a gold D23 member. If you have to be gold, you should also be able to purchase discounted tickets for your guest.

D23 members can get into the expo an hour earlier than general admission.

Places to eat: one of the hotels next to the convention center has a food court. There may also be food trucks, otherwise plan on eating inside the convention center (they have food places set up inside).

Crowds are high, plus the Expo will happen in mid July (during Disneyland's 62nd birthday) instead of the typical August.

Hi, I have a question about purchasing tickets to the Expo and I hope you could help me.

I was a general member and just upgraded to the Gold Membership. My membership still shows as general, I guess it takes a few days to change it to gold?

I want to purchase the Expo Tickets before December 31st to take advantage of the discount they are giving to Early Bid.

Can I purchase the tickets already? Or do I have to wait to see my account as Gold to buy it?

I want to bring my husband to the Expo as my guest, do I have to put his information when buying the tickets or can I just buy one ticket under my name?

I will really apreciate if anyone can help me with these questions!

You should be able to call D23 and they can look up your membership when you purchase your tickets. I did this two years ago when I got the 2015 tickets. Try calling 1 (855) 323-5973

Thank you, I will try to call them tomorrow!

Another question that might sound silly but I didn't find the answer anywhere. As a Gold Member I am allowed to bring one guest to the event. So I just buy 1 ticket under my name and I can bring my guest or do I have to purchase 2 tickets?

Each person will need a separate ticket. Being a gold member allows you to purchase tickets for guests at your discount.
