D23 and crowds

Hey all,

Wondering how the D23 convention in Anaheim this August 9-11 will effect crowds at the parks. Does it draw people away from them or increase attendance? Thanks!!

Also, I'm assuming hotels will be pretty packed? How many people does this expo draw? And would it be better to pick another time to visit since my dates are flexible?

Well, I've been to both Expos and have tickets for the third. I stay at the Convention Center area and only visit the parks the day before Expo starts. The Expo is way too jam packed with stuff to do from morning till night for me to mess with going to the parks. I think I heard over 40K for the last one? Maybe more? The hotels may feel a hit and maybe the parks at night?
