Trying to decide which restaurant to eat at the night we go to Disney Springs. We currently have adr at Homecomin but D-Luxe Burger sounds good too? I know one is sit down vs. counter service...that doesn't really matter to us. We're not looking for anything fancy...just good basic food. If you have eaten at these restaurants, which do you think is better?

Hiya. Not sure when you're planning on going, but I'm planning on visiting both of these fine establishments in the next few weeks, so I'm happy to report back after!

Decide 48-hours before you have to go (to avoid cancelation fee) by closing your eyes and asking, "What will I be in the mood for in 2-days...."

A meal at Homecoming is likely to have your belly very full and, therefore, unable to consume much from all the other places that serve sweet treats.

A burger at a QS may feel like nothing more than you can get at your local.....Shake Shack, In-Out Burger, Five Guys, etc......but maybe leave enough room for Genachery, Sprinkles, and/or Vivoli il Gelato, etc.

Or, you could just flip a coin.

Go to Homecoming. My friend stated "D-Luxe burger is like a chain" as the poster above said....think like M Burger or Epic Burger. A decent burger, but nothing to write home about.

Homecoming hands down! We have been to both. We have only been back to Homecoming and will be going for our 3rd time in August. D-Luxe is fine if you want a burger, but Homecoming is a real quality meal with excellent appetizers, desserts, and cocktails. The two just can't compare.

EDIT: If you are looking for a QS more comparable to Homecoming, I would try Polite Pig. It's next on my list.

I believe you can cancel up until 11:59 pm eastern time before you are charged a $10 per person cancellation fee.

Disney policies can be very confusing and/or contradicting in places:
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/faq/dining-reservations/restaurant-reservation-cancellation/

Rule-of-thumb is 'at least 24-hours', so unless you have a midnight dining reservation, 11:59pm will not work for a reservation the day that begins one minute later.

But I'll give Disney some credit - details are provided when you make your ADR and in the initial 'Confirmation' email, and they send at least one other email prior to that Cancelation-window as a reminder.

Try to make a reservation right now, the 'Guest Policies' you must confirm you've read states:

"Reminders
Reservations must be canceled at least one day prior to....avoid cancelation fee."

So, if a person/family has a reservation for, let's say, any time on Thursday, I would suggest canceling no later than 11:59pm on Tuesday.

Not really two-days, but certainly more than 24-hours.....to avoid the cancelation fee.

I thought it was the day before too. I have read too many people on this board say that they have canceled day before, less than 24 hours before. I have never canceled that close, so I don't know from personal experience.

Disney provides conflicting information if a person is looking for a general answer.

But each ADR has clearly stated policies for which subsequent reminders are given.

Since you have a similar experience as mine, you know that those emails from Disney arrive in a timely manner that should provide enough information to avoid confusion for that specific ADR.

And if a person follows the 11:59pm rule, the worst that might happen is they speak with Customer Service to unwind the cancellation fees.
