Cypress Pointe-who to book with??

Hi...who does everyone get good deals with on Cypress Pointe? I know from reading other threads that dealing with owners directly on eBay has gotten them great rates but I am planning ahead for May of this year and want to reserve now. Most on eBay are only up until April. I did not see any private sellers, only companies that are renting the units for specific weeks.

How do I find private sellers?

and others. Craigs List or ebay may have some as well. May is awfully close and you may have to search to find an owner with that time still available to rent. Most owners reserve 8-10 months ahead of the use date.

I agree. If I can do a seven day stay starting on a weekend and ending on a weekend, I have rented from owners on TUG2.net and Redweek.com. Most owners have floating weeks, so I have found this a very easy place to secure an owner rental. I think from these sites you can get a better price than this, but if you want to email me, I can give you the name of a woman who owns several weeks there that I have rented from before. She usually advertises on Redweek.com too. I think she usually rents a three bedroom for about $1100 and was great to deal with. With owning so many floating weeks, she almost always has at least one week she can rent.

For a shorter stay, take a peak at Expedia. They were offering some really good rates just last month (not as good as an owner rental, but outstanding for a retail rental).

We have stayed there 2 years in a row, and are going in March! We rented from a person on myresortnetwork.com and had no problem at all! We have a 2 bdrm reserver for 11 nights for $750, but I know he has used most of his points up because I have done 4 rentals through him with my friends and family coming, but there is others on that website!
The other thing you can try is, I posted this awhile back, if you go to Diamond Resorts International, fill in that you want Cypress Pointe Grand Villas, and in the bottom of the search there will be a box that says source and rate, in the rate box input RWB and you can get a 1 bdrm for $79 and a 2 bdrm for $109 which isn't bad at all, and I rented one for my parents through this deal, because they decided to come last min! I input my dates for that, not sure what May will be!

You can book through www.alpharooms.com It is a UK travel website, but you can book from the US as well. I know people on here have used it and I have used it once before.

I put in May 15 to 22nd and you can get a 2bdrm for $553.06 or a 3bdrm for $647.16

I think those are awesome rates!

Another option you can have is to negotiate privately with the Ebay listing owners and ask if they can change the dates to your travel dates....depending on the owner, some owner might be willing to secure your dates for you.....
