Cypress Pointe or Windsor Hills Condo?

I know that they're kind of different, but I'm having trouble deciding which way to go. I have stayed in Emerald Island and Terra Verde before, but didn't really want a whole house or townhouse.

Does anyone have any info that might be helpful? Has anyone stayed at the Windsor Hills condos? They both look beautiful, and I'm sure we'd have fun at both.

Thanks,
Courtney

Both are nice but the houses lack the "feel" of a resort vacation IMO. It's great if you want the type of vacation as if you lived there year round but if it's a resort type atmosphere with a special away on vacation experience you desire a resort like Cypress Pointe may be a better choice.

We are staying in a WH townhome in Dec. for the first time. We stayed at Cypress Point for X-mas 2005. I tried to book CP first this time but they were all booked up which forced me to try something new. We loved CP, I have nothing negative to say about it. I am anticipating loving WH as well from all I've heard here.

Cypress Pointe still has lots of availability for December in 2 and 3 bedroom units. Even for Christmas week. It all depends on where you looked.

I would vote CP because we love that location in general if we are staying off site, it is very convenient, near a grocery store, restaurants, the entrance of WDW by DTD, etc.

When I tried to get CP for this year I used Hotel Kingdom just because that's what I used last time. It really did not occur to me to try somewhere else, I assumed it was booked. Just out of curiosity, do you know what they are charging per night for a 2 bedroom? When we stayed there last time I booked really early and got an amazing rate. I'm happy with what we are paying at WH as well.

One thing I forgot to say about CP was that we really liked the location. It had a drugstore and grocery store superclose and easy to get to. We cut through downtown disney to get to the parks and the traffic did not bother us. I think it took 10 minutes max to get anywhere we wanted to go.

Rate depends on the date (of course Christmas week will be higher), but the first 2 weeks of December is $82.14/night including tax, week prior to Christmas is $89/nt. including tax.

My family has stayed at both places and I would personally recommend Windsor Hills, hands down. Let me first state that we enjoyed both places. However, Windsor Hills is newer, and in my opinion has a nicer pool (although CP has 2 pools), clubhouse and playground. The only way that I would choose CP over Windsor Hill is if I got a really good deal on SkyAuction (I think we paid around $215 dollars for a 3 bedroom for the entire week). Otherwise, the price will be about the same, unless your looking at the 1 bedroom at CP. Either way, both are nice places and you can’t go wrong with either. I just think you get more for your money at Windsor Hills. Good Luck!

For future knowledge, what site are you using to get these rates?
