I was eager to read any report on this resort I could get my hands on before our trip so thought I had best write a bit for others.

We reserved a 3 bedroom suite for our family of 4 and for our friend's family of 4. In the 11th hour, they canceled on us, so we just ended up using the 2 bedroom side. We checked in on Sunday night around 5pm with no wait. We were put in a non-smoking suite, 4th floor (top floor) facing the pool. Our building was A on the Grandvilla side, painted blue. Our view from both balconies and the windows was of the miniature golf course and a "turtle" pool. Parking was no problem, always could find a spot close by, this was off-season though. No gate security and our car did get "keyed" on one back side, at least it wasn't all around the car. Elevators were great and we had no trouble finding a trolley when we needed one.

I took a look in the one bedroom side, even though we didn't use it. Very cute, would work nicely for a family of 4 if the children are young. Not so great if they are teenagers or for two couples. This side of the villa smelled musty quite badly but looked clean and in good repair. I didn't check under the sinks, perhaps there had been a leak. Bathroom was large and roomy with sit down vanity area at the mirror. I would rather stay in one of these little one bedroom units than in a reg. hotel room.

Our two bedroom unit had the washer/dryer. The door they were behind was very hard to open/close. Something broken but I wasn't sure what. Dryer had a loud whine while in use but it did work and our clothes came out dry. Washer worked well but also made odd sounds while in use  Furniture looked a little worn but this didn't bother me. We have stayed at the Contemporary Disney resort 3 times in the last year and it was just as worn there. Table was set for dinner and cloth napkins were folded pretty into the glasses. Dishwasher and fridge were in good condition as were the microwave and stove/oven. Large pantry area was a nice surprise, more room than I needed for all of the food I had brought along. There was a toaster and blender but I had brought my own blender along to make frozen grasshopper drinks ;) so I don't know how their blender would have worked. Looked like a cheap one that couldn't blend ice or ice cream well. Plenty of pans and dishes, no complaints. Second bedroom had two twin beds that could not be moved together, not a problem for us, just mentioning it. No TV in this room. Good size closet and a small dresser. Master bedroom had a large walk-in closet, I put our empty suitcases in here and still had room for our shoes. Had a TV but no VCR. Large whirlpool tub. It had a film of soap that I had to rinse out but no grime or hairs showed themselves (thank goodness). Sit down vanity area by this sink. Toliet, shower and another sink behind another door. Loved this roomy bathroom. Big closet for towels where I discovered towels for the pool, nice touch. King size bed was comfortable. Sliding glass doors opened onto medium sized balcony that was screened in and had a fan. Sliding glass doors led to the living room from the balcony as well. Big screen TV and the only VCR were in the living room. We didn't use the pull out bed in the couch so I'm not sure of it's comfort. Second bathroom was average size and was loaded with towels.

Location of this resort was wonderful!! One block to Winn Dixie grocery store (for ice cream for grasshoppers ;) ), one block to Pizza Hut, a few blocks from downtown Disney and the "crossroads" complex. You can pay $20 for the week to play unlimited miniature golf for everyone in your unit. My DS6 loved this and played every chance he got.

We would stay here again given the chance. Good value for the money. Wonderful to have kitchen and laundry right there. We had the chance to stay at the Hilton Vacation Club in Sept. It is a bit nicer there but not as convenient to Disney and food as CPG. HVCG worked out for us because we were visiting Sea World and Universal that trip. If/when we go to Disney again, I would choose CPG because of location.

Thanks for the review. We are thinking of staying here in May. Did you use the pools? Especially interested in the volcano pool. Did it have slides? Thanks in advance for the info.

We didn't use the pools, but could have as they are heated. The pool with slides was in the other section. The building we were in , A, was closest to other section, you could request to stay there for a shorter walk. I had thought we would swim, I brought all of our suits. We didn't go to a water park this time either. First Disney vacation without going to a water park. My DH was just not in the mood to swim this time. By the end of the week, I was willing to go swimming without him but the weather had turned COLD. May should be lovely :)

Thanks for the review. I have already purchased my weeks through skyauction and these villas are one of the ones to choose from so I was gald to read a positive review.
