Cypress Pointe Grande Villas

I just booked my first stay here. We have a reservation for a 2br. I'm wondering what area or building to request... quiet, with a nice view. Is the top floor preferable? Is this only done at check in or should I call the resort prior to that?

I think it's a request at check in deal. We were in one of the buidlings in Parrot Cay, on the 3rd floor. Very near the pool area. It was a good spot for us!

The resort will make room assignments a week or two before your check-in date so I'd suggest that you call the resort a couple of weeks in advance with any requests.

The buildings are positioned to surround the pool area with villas having either a parking lot view or a poolside view. The view isn't much different whether you're on a low or high floor (I think that the buildings are three to five stories high). We were in a first floor unit in Building A with a parking lot view a few weeks ago and it was fine. The pool in that serves this section of the resort seemed to be used a lot less than the volcano pool at the other section so it was fairly quite most of the time that we were there.

When we stayed there, I called about a couple of weeks ahead of time with my requests and then called again the day before I left. I wanted pool side, bottom floor. I had 3 units and got bottom floor on all of them, poolside with two of them (could have had it with all of them if I hadn't wanted to be in the same building).

They were very cooperative, and we had a great time (this was a pretty busy week too, the week before Christmas, Dec. 16th-23rd, 2006).
