For those of you who have asked for an update about my experience at CPGV for a rate of $300 for a week in a 2BR/2BA - I CHECKED IN TONIGHT!!!

There was absolutely NO problem. You may recall that our friends couldn't come, so I brought a notarized letter from them releasing their reservations to me. We were able to check in to all 3 of the units.

I still can't believe I got this place for $300 a week. :teeth:

The check in staff was very nice and very thorough. The pools are great (they have Christmas songs playing at the pools - very festive).

The condos are very large for a 2BR. You could easily put an inflatable bed in the floor between the dining room and the living room if you didn't want to make the couch out at night.

Is the place absolutely perfect beyond all belief (like at 5 star hotel)? No, it's not. Is it an excellent value for a middle class family? OH YEAH!!!

The location can't be beat. We're used to driving out to Hwy. 27, but if I can get this place for anywhere near this rate, our days in houses may be over.

One thing I did notice. Be sure to check your sliding doors. All of our units are ground floor (with 2 sets of these doors). None of them had the bar in place (easy to fix, just slip the bar into place).

For those who asked me for the contact info for this owner, contact me again next week. I didn't want to give out any info until I knew for sure whether it was legitimate. In my case, it has been everything I was promised.

Tomorrow, we hit Disney!

glad you are happy!!!

remember no hair dryers here. I missed that the most.

We brought our hair dryers, so that's fine.

They do have irons/ironing boards, so that was good.

I gotta tell you, we really like this place! :thumbsup2

I'm glad that things worked out for you. We really enjoyed our stay at CPGV too! I will be contacting you next week for contact info. Have a great trip!

So far, it's been a great trip! I wish that we had more time to actually enjoy the property facilities. Next time we come, I'd love to stay 2 weeks (at these prices that would be very easy to do).

We did get the call this morning to pick up our "welcome packet". Thanks to these boards, I knew it was a timeshare hook, and I just thanked them and left it at that.

P.S. The weather has been wonderful (shorts and t-shirts!). :cheer2:

We just got back from a 3 night stay in the GV side last night. Our unit did have a hair dryer, HOWEVER, no TV in the 2nd bedroom?? It didn't really matter to us since it was just my hubby and myself, we only used the second bedroom for our suitcases and such, but I was surprised there was just a clock radio on the table where the TV should have been. We also brought along a bunch of DVD's for watching movies on the big screen TV in the livingroom, and on top of the TV was a VCR instead of a DVD player. Must be that furnishings change from one villa to another? We still had a great time and love the place. :)

You drive right through the gates off the 535 heading toward downtown Disney in less that 5 minutes! :Pinkbounc

Some of the same here - two televisions (living room and master bedroom, but not in 2nd BR, but we didn't care anyway) and a VCR but no DVD (we also brought the DVD's, but it wasn't a big deal).

I LOVE the huge master bath. I've read about the confusion over the door. For anybody who cares, this is how it works. The master BR is very large. The large jacuzzi tub and sink vanity are visible from the BR. The comode, walk-in shower, and extra sink are behind a door you can close.

I did learn an important lesson tonight. A little Mr. Bubble goes a long way in a jacuzzi tub (even a large one)! :lmao:

Been there done that--- in a rental cabin in the Smokey Mtns. To the point the bubbles were overflowing into the master bedroom. Yep, that was a nice mess.

Glad you are enjoying your stay. :)

Definitely that is the difference between CP and the Grand Villas side..the CP side has the TV that plays dvds in the 2nd bedroom and the dvd player in the living room..Grand Villas side hasnt been updated for that as of yet

We checked out Saturday morning. Again, no problems. I had asked for the safe in one of the condos and was charged for that, but that was all. It was a nice sized safe, and we used it a lot ($1 a day plus tax).

When we go back (already planning to go back next year at the same time), I'll want CPGV again. I think the 2nd BR has more room in it than the one at CP (two twins as opposed to a twin and a trundle, and the room was pretty large).

If I can answer any questions for anybody, feel free to PM me. We are very satisfied customers!
