Just booked our own holiday package for the first time to Florida rather than taking a package deal. Wow, what a saving me have made!
I took a suggestion from an unofficial Walt Disney World Guide about getting deals from websites and got a bargain!
Hotel Kingdom gave us a quote for a 2 bedroomed villa at cypress Pointe Grand Villas (which is supposedly 4 star) for a total cost of $1534.68 (inclusive of tax) for 2 adults and 3 kids (14, 12 &9) for Easter 2 weeks (22nd March - 5th April 2008). With the exchange rate it works out to about £800, just have to pay immediately.
We have booked our flights with US Airways - Manchester to Orlando International (change at philadelphia) for total cost of £2242.
Car Hire works out to £270 - fully Inclusive pkg with tank petrol.
Total cost of holiday £3312 - WOW!!!!!
This is less than it cost us last time we went 2 years ago! and at easter too!
Virgin quoted us £4800 for a package! We've saved almost £1500.

Has anyone stayed here - any advise etc? Thanks
Soooooooooooo excited, thought I'd share the info!! :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

HI,

There are quite a few who have stayed here and reports seem really great. We are going in August booked thru Alpharooms also got a good deal on 19 nights.

Wow! Good job finding those deals. I haven't stayed here, but I have read lots of reviews and people are usually very happy about this place. I hope you have a great vacation.

We stayed there in 2000 but we had to tour the facility and sit thru the timeshare presentation.
We had a 2 br and had sooo much space compared to a hotel room. That's the part we enjoy the most (besides the whirlpool tub in the master bath!) It was a great place, though I can't comment on the pool since we only stayed 4 nts and most time was spent in the parks.
You will love it and will never want to cram your whole family into a hotel room again!
Have a great time!!!:cool1:

We stayed there last year and loved it. I am going to book a few days again next week. Hotel Kingdom was great to work with.

We have stayed there twice in the last year and loved it both times. It is very convenient to the parks and restaurants. There are 3 pools, my children loved all 3. Let me know if there are any specific questions I can answer.

We stayed last time at the Fairfield Inn - after a bit of a **** up with the booking (virgin had us booked correct time but someone at the hotel had booked us in 12 months before along with a few other families). We loved it there and the breakfast was amazing but they don't offer 5 in a room any more and when we saw the deal being offered here - was alot cheaper than the 1 hotel on the Marriott village we could have stayed in.
Looking at the map it seems this hotel is about the same distance away from DTD which we thought was amazingly close for the price!
We can't wait to go now!!

We were there the week before Christmas. If you do a search on this board, you'll find LOTS of info about Cypress Pointe Grande Villas.

You'll have plenty of room. The 2BR at CPGV has two twin beds in the roomy 2nd bedroom. There is a sleeper sofa in the living room.

I would request ground floor, pool frontage. That's what we had and really liked it (we actually had 3 of those units).

Cypress Pointe is actually a little closer to DTD than the Marriot Village hotels.
