Is this for real? We can get a three bedroom suite for less than 100.00??? Really? Some of you have done this? What are the additional charges? Is that 80.00 maid service automatically tacked on even if you do not request maid service? I remember reading something on here recently stating that hotelkingdom should be avoided because they do not gaurentee their rates. If I booked, would I go there & find out that they charges are much more? Also, I noticed that this is a timeshare. Is there a presentation that must be attneded prior to our stay? It just seems a little too good to be true. I'm very nervous about this, please tell me of your experiences. :)

We just got back. It is for real. We had the 2 bedroom at CP and LOVED it for $76/ night. We booked through Hotelkingdom.com. So far, everything is great. Now, if they bill me wrong or something, I'll definitely post it here. No, the cleaning fee is not supposed to be tacked on. I asked twice and when we checked out, they said we had a zero balance.

P.S. I booked this resort only after reading it on the DIS list of best off-site, reading many reviews here AND reading many reviews on tripadvisor.com. Do your own research, but it turned out true for us.

We have stayed there twice through hotelkingdom.com. No hidden charges, no catch. They will ask about a timeshare presentation--just say no and its all over. It's a great deal! Like the previous poster said, do a search on this board and you will find all kinds of info.

I think the maid service is by request only. I did not request it and was not charged. My charges for the downpayment through hotelkingdom.com and the balance charged at the resort were both correct.

They always call and leave a message hoping to schedule a timeshare presentation. I think they say that I didn't pick up my "welcome packet" and want to set up a time for me to get it. I usually don't even call them back and have never done the presentation.

When timeshares started selling flexible weeks instead of set weeks, some units now remain empty during slow periods. It makes sense to sell these units that would have remained empty at a reasonable rate.

There is no catch. When Vistana Villages opened, they did the same thing. A whole bunch of us on the boards were totally hooked on the 2 bedroom condos. I stayed there three years in a row. The next time I went to book it, the rates had gone up $100.00 per night. This is how they try and introduce people to a resort, especially if it is timeshare. I say go now while the goings good, the price won't last forever. As far as Hotelkingdom, I have used them over 10 times and have never had a problem with them. Their customer service has been excellent. We just returned from Cypress Pointe Grand Villas and it was lovely. We did not get charged for maid service. BOOK IT!!

The newly refurbished apartments at CP1 are fab, make no mistake. It is a small resort but one that is proudly taken care of.

As an owner at CP1 (and have been for about 10 years), I can say it is looking back at it's best at the moment. Yes, take advantage of the prices at hotelkingdom.com, they will not last as the occupancy is going up all the time.

If you get a chance to purchase on eBay or whatever, you might even consider this.

Have a great time!

Sam

Since CPR renovated, not much showing up on skyauction. Book CP thru hotelkingdom before rates go up again. They will book you up to a year in advance.
