Good Morning,

We are planing our annual April drive down to WDW and have been exploring options of where to stay. Has any one out there been to the Cypress Point Villas? The price of $79.00 for a 2 bedroom suite seems too good to be true, even with the 90 minute sales pitch!! Thanks for any info on this or other suite resorts!:hyper:

You can get the two-bedroom villa at www.hotelkingdom.com for $71/night and you don't have the sales pitch. Cypress Point has gotten very good reviews on here especially the Grandvillas. They are $93/night for April.

We stayed at Cypress Pointe in August in a *3* bedroom villa for about $90 a night from hotelkingdom and did not HAVE to do a sales pitch! (But we DID do it anyway and got $75 in Disney Dollars! :) )

It was a wonderful place to stay. My family loved it and I would recommend it to just about anyone.

If you do a search on this board for Cypress Pointe you will see lots of positive comments. ::yes::

Good Luck! :)

We are booked to stay at Cypress Pointe. We felt the same way, too good to be true, and were able to get a 3 bedroom for $84.??.
I think part of the good deal is that this does not include maid service. I believe you add another $80 (for a 3 bedroom unit), if you want this service.

Between this board and trip advisor.com we feel the positive comments far outweigh any negative ones and are really looking forward to our stay there.

Good luck in your planning.

Sandra

I wonder why when I try a 3 bedroom it is $134 a night at Hotel Kingdom? I thought December was the slow time for hotels in Orlando. Any ideas on other sites I could get it cheaper? We are heading there December 3-11 and splitting our stay between off site and on. I am really wanting to switch from Vistana Resort to Cypress because of the 3 bedroom. Does anyone know if is a very long walk between the Cypress GR and the Cypress Pointe to access the waterslide and volcano pool? And did you make room requests?

I've been researching for our upcoming Feb. trip. The Grandvillas are listed at $134 a night but if you scroll to the third page or so Cypress Pointe (not grandvilla) 3 bedroom are listed for $86. At least for my dates. It isn't too good to be true, as I stayed there last year in a two bedroom and booked through hotelkingdom dirt cheap. No sales pitch.

We are thinking of doing a 3 bedroom, althought there are only 4 of us. The second bedroom is very small and no TV. I think it'd be worth the extra $15 a night for the kids to have their own tv and their own space if needed.

Do any of you know if there is a pool bar or much in the way of activities for the kids. We did a brief trip last year without hubby and didn't spend any time at the pool. We spent most of our time at the parks.

Thanks for any additional infor on the 3 bedroom.

Jenn

There is not a pool bar at either CP or the CPGV pools. The convenience store does sell beer if I remember correctly. There was also a blender in the kitchen if you want to make your own blended drinks.

The price/availablity issue may have to do with the remodeling going on at CP. There was another thread addressing this a week or so back.

Enjoy your stay. We are going back in March for visit #2.

I'm planning on staying at Cypress Pointe soon. In general, the resort has gotten good reviews. However, the recently renovated areas get better reviews than the non-renovated areas.

Some people don't like the bathroom layout at the original Cypress Pointe. Cypress Pointe Grandvillas has a different, more desireable layout. This may be why it costs more to rent. The two resorts share pools and other amenities.

You can get more information at www.CypressPointe.net

Hi

We have just returned (this morning) from our 2 week stay at CP and loved it. We were lucky enough to have refurb'd 2 bedroomed villa which was really very nice.

We would stay here again without a doubt.

Squitty,

Thanks for the comment on your stay at CP. We are heading there in January, so it was nice to hear you enjoyed your stay.

They had all that you need there, trial sizes of everything that you needed.

Thanks to all who replied!!!!! I think we will make reservations.

Squitty, I also have a chocolate lab. Last april she drove with us to Florida, and we found a nice kennel near by. It was her first Florida vacation and she loved it!!!

Can April can quickly?

Staying there in January. Very excited to find a three bedroom Villa for considerably less than a moderate on property. Still can't decide on the original or the grand villas, though. We're looking at the $134/nt rate on hotelkingdom.

We booked thru Hotelkingdom too

Here is a couple of photos that I took...This is not the GV, we did ask for a refurb'd villa and thats what we got, it was really nice.

Heidi, that sounds lovely. I wish I could take our dogs with us on holiday, we have another 2 labs we have a yellow and a black:)

Awesome pictures, Squitty...better than their own website!!:D Looks like those renovated units are wonderful! Now I'm getting REALLY excited :hyper: for our spring trip. We're hoping to "wow" my MIL...she's on a very fixed, limited income and rarely gets to travel. We're taking her with us for her first trip ever to WDW and Florida! I think she'll be really impressed with Cypress Pointe. Thank you again for posting!

squitty,

what sized refurbished unit did you stay in? I noticed the tv seems to be a widescreen only be about a 27" or so. The 2 bedroom units we have stayed in there in the past had big screen tvs (42-48") in the living room. Will the refurbished units no longer have big screen tvs in the 2 & 3 bedrooms?

Hi

We had a 2 bedroomed villa, the TV was huge about 42" must admit the photo does make it look smaller...but honest it was big
Here is a closer one:-

We also had a TV in the bedroom which was 28" and a combi TV/DVD in the 2nd room.

thank you for the info squitty!! my daughter now will be happy the next time we go, she was always disapointed that there was not a tv in the 2nd bedroom & sometimes ended up sleeping on the couch instead of the room.
