I know both Cypress grand vill and Cypress point resort are same
(just phase I -II construction)

But hotelkingdom.com is listing as diffrent item. Is there any difference and if so do you know which one is better?

thanks

We had a wonderful vacation at Cypress Point. Stayed in the Conch Cay section on the second floor with pool view. We had a two bedroom corner unit. It was 8 steps to the main pool...with the volcano and pool slide. The playground, clubhouse,bb courts, tennis courts, store, pizza shop were all right there. These villas are older and have no elevators...I really got my exercise coming from Winn Dixie!! But for the convience to the pool I wouldn't have traded it. The villas were very clean and spacious. We drove through the Grand Villas section and saw the pool and were not impressed. They have elevators and are newer. The Winn Dixie is around the block and they have all sorts or places to eat across the street..within walking distance. Downtown Disney it about a half mile down the block...so easy. We will stay there next time for sure just for the pool which is great for the kids and the washer and dryer for me...and of course the jacuzzi!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Rapunzal,

We are considering the Grand Villas for a few days in July. I was wondering about the pool at the GV. Is there a slide? If not, can you walk over to the villas to use their pool? I know there is a pool slide over there and that is important to my 9 y/o. Also, I was wondering exactly where is Cypress Pointe? I know it's within walking distance of the Crosswroads but I just can't picture exactly where it is. Thanks!

No slide but you MAY use any pool in either phase when staying there. Here's a Cypress Pointe site map. You can see that Phase I and Phase II (GV) are separated by a residential-type road.

...exactly where is Cypress Pointe?
Exit the Crossroads at the traffic light (Disney's purple archway for entering property onto Hotel Plaza Blvd is straight ahead). Turn RIGHT at this light onto Rt 535. The first light will be Palm Parkway. Go through this one and turn RIGHT at the next one, past Denny's, into the resort. Here's a Mapquest map of the area. HTH. :)

Does anyone know if CP only offers regular roman tubs, as opposed to jacuzzis, in their 2 bedroom units? In looking at the offerings on hotelkingdom, it looks as though the real difference between CP and CP GV is that the Grand Villas offer a jacuzzi in the 2 bedroom, and the difference in price is about $10 per night higher at the GV.

Lisa, thank you so much for all this info. I am trying to picture in my mind where this is (I'm not that great with directions). We stayed on Palm Parkway years ago @ what used to be HOJO but is now the Courtyard by Marriott and I know if we took a left out of there into 535 there was a Sizzler on the right. Is that where it is? Also, seems like it may be a long walk to the Crossroads, is it? Is there anything else within walking distance? Thank you so much.

My family also recently stayed at Cypress Pointe Resort. The 2 bedroom does have a jacuzzi tub. If you got a one bedroom at Cypress Point resort you would have a nice Roman Tub.

My understanding is that Cypress Point Resort is totally refurbished including the volcano pool area. We used that pool extensively but the pool was not heated so my kids tended to get cold after about 30 minutes.

We then packed up our stuff and made the short walk to the GV pool that was heated and spent the rest of our pool time there.
