Cypress Gardens?

We will be in Orlando the first two weeks of December. So far, I don't see any operating hours for Cypress Gardens on their website, though it looks like they are only open on weekends in September. Has anyone ever been there in December? If so, were they only open on weekends? Also, is it worth the trip to go there from Orlando? We are a group of 6 adults (DH, me and our 4 adult children). Thanks for any advice/imput!

I had been there several times before they closed, and really enjoyed it. However, when I went this May, we were disappointed. The flowers are still nice, but it just isn't as impressive as it was before, and all the nice shows aren't there anymore. None of the animal interactions. I think if it were still $30 or less, it might be worth the trip. Also, half the rides there weren't open, and as for the water park, you even have to pay extra for your tubes. The waterski show is there, but none of the others. And the boat ride through the canal to see the gardens is not operating anymore. If they are going to charge as much as they are now, everything should be as good and better than it was before, and it's a lot less. Plus, parking is expensive.

Hope this helps.
