CVS Weekly 5/10-5/16

I went with my B1G1 coupon the Schick razors only to find that our store has them B1G1 50% off, not B1G1 Free. I was a little disappointed and only got 2 packs. They ended up costing me $3.xx.

The only deal that I did was on Saturday.

I went to get the Coke that was on sale with $10 ECB. I put 5 in my cart that should have totaled $20 (they were on sale 3/$12 last week) but my total was only $13.00. It appeared that the current sale was already in their system because they rang up at $3.25 each with B4G1 free. I went back and got 5 more for $13.00 and it still printed my $10 ECB.

Sometime it pays to wait! :rotfl:

I ended up paying about $3.00 each time OOP because I used a $10 ECB on each purchase.

I had the same thing happen. As I was walking out of the store I noticed that the coke ECB didn't print. I went back in and we looked at everything, she counted the boxes of coke in my cart TWICE  (1,2,3,4,5 didn't change either time!) and we looked at the ad and it said $4 per case, etc. Then we looked at the receipt and she said, "Oh you got one free instead." But then she just did the magical register thing and made my ECB appear. So I got 5 for $13 PLUS the $10 ECB.

Man I can't believe I missed that awesome coke deal... should have waited till saturday! I went and got the nivea body wash and used a $1 coupon plus had the buy nivea cellulite cream and get body wash free. That was a decent deal.

My deal of the week came from Giant Eagle though... They had the nivea cellulite patches on clearance for $5 a box and I had $2 coupons so I bought 2 for 6 and those normally cost about $15 a box I believe. Also got a garnier moisturizer for $4 that's usually $12. Can't beat clearance and coupons together! :goodvibes

Did pretty good at CVS yesterday!
-Crest enamel shield mouthwash, $3.49, used the $1 off manu coupon and got back 2 ECB
-Pullups, $8.99, used $2 off internet coupon
-CVS brand Claritin, $8.99
-CVS sunscreen for face $6.29, used $1 off CVS sunscreen coupon from scanner
I was also able to use a $5 off $15 CVS brand purchase coupon from the scanner-Yay!
I paid with 5 ECB, plus a $3 money card from a previous return and so my OOP was only $11! I was thrilled!
I haven't been able to get stuff for totally free like some of y'all but I have gotten some wonderful deals thanks to all of you.
I ended up not doing the Ragu and Skippy deals since I only had one coupon for each and I decided it just wasn't that great of a deal for my family-we don't go through peanut butter, Ragu or mayo that quickly. Tea bags yes but I just stocked up at the last sale!

I felt I did good tonight, not a good as most of you usually do, but very good for me.

I had the schick disposable coupon for b1/g1 and it worked on the schick quattro's that are on sale this week without beeping and I actually got $8 back in ECB's, so the limit is at least two!! So I got two razors for $.99 out of pocket.

Also the Nivea coupon was good, which was buy tanning lotion get cream for free - for $4 out of pocket I got tanning lotion and body soap.

Did pretty well at CVS today, well, until I realized that a clearance item didn't ring up clearance...after I had already left the store.

Fruit loops 2.00 - 1.00 coupon
rice crispies 2.00 - 1.00 coupon
herbal essences shampoo, clearance 1.17
herbal essences shampoo, clearance 1.17 - 2.00 of two coupon .34!
colgate toothpaste buy one get one 2.79 - 1.00 = 1.79
john frieda hairspray 5.99
john frieda hairspray 6.49 2.00 off coupon
john frieda hairspray 6.49 2.00 off coupon plus 5.00 ecb
adidas deodarant....supposed to be 2.25 - 1.00 coupon...rang up at 4.99. SUCKS!

Had 18 ECBs, used them all, and had 8.00 oop. Not bad for me. Although now I only have 5.00 ecb for next week.

May have to wait awhile. Have enough shampoo and toothpaste to last for years at this point!

I am so thankful to all the advice on this thread! Saved me lots 'o money!

Hi and welcome to my fellow train rider! :cool1: :goodvibes :woohoo: JMHO, but......I would return the Adidas because you just don't want to be paying $3.99 for deodorant when CVS always seems to have some that you can get for free or nearly free. They will refund but probably put the amount on a money card for CVS. Also did you know you can use two mfg. coupons on their BOGOF deals? See you on the coupon train! :)

ok, I have been sooo busy the last few weeks and have hardly been out to CVS at all or been able to follow the weekly threads. Our son is getting married on Saturday so we've been all crazy with wedding plans.
so I don't think I went to CVS the last week of April at all. Last week I had my print out and coupons, but was short on time, which I hate trying to CVS when I'm busy or stressed. Nothing seemed to work or match up with my print out. No ECB's printed for the few things I did buy. I had not made it out this week yet, but had a bunch of ECB's that expired today, so last night I grab my new weekly print out from here, grab a few coupons for some of the stuff, and figure, I'll go roll a few of them. All the signs that are up are "25% off this, 30 % off that"...no ecb signs for the things on my list. I bought a Bayer crystal, 1 Nivea, 2 schick quatro.......no ecbs and nothing even listed at the bottom of my receipts.
I'm thinking we are having some kind of test area thing??? I usually use the print out on here, more then I do with the ad in the paper. What the heck???

I just got back from a mini-run and made a profit on the razors. Here's what I did-

Schick Quatro $8.99
(2) Schick Xtreme Disposables (BOGO50%) $11.98
(2) CVS Flushable Toddler Wipes (BOGO50%) $2.23
(2) Flashing Bath Ducks (Last minute add on to get my total up) 2.98

BOGOF Schick Disposable Coupon -$7.99 (also tried the $2 off disposables coupon but it beeped)
$4 off Schick Quatro -$4.00
$5/$25 CRT -$5.00
$7 ECB's -$7.00

Total OOP $3.04 and got back $4 ECB's for the Quatro. I'm pretty happy about it! I'm going to a different store to do the peanut butter deal and possibly the Nivea, Coke and cereal deals.

What order did you give the coupons to the cashier? I think the BOGO coupon has to be after the money-off coupons.

Yeah, last week I learned the hard way to use the $/$$ coupons first. I did the $5/$25, $4 Quatro, BOGO Disposables and then tried the $2 off but it wouldn't take that one.

My second trip wasn't a money maker but I got some good deals on stuff I needed. I did the $3 ECB wyb $10 Skippy, Ragu and Lipton and used the skippy and ragu coupons, did a couple of Glade deals that were $2 off with card and had $4 off coupons so they ended up costing me $2.99 instead of $8.99, got a bed for the cat for $5.99 and I think that's it. I forgot to use my ECB's from earlier so my OOP was $28 for almost $55 worth of stuff and I got the $3 ECB's.

I think I may do the Nivea deal afterall, I have two free bodywash coupons but will probably only use the leg tanner one. That would be $9.99 for the tanner and the bodywash and $5 ECB's, though I don't really use the tanners because they looks so blotchy. Has anyone tried this stuff? (Beautiful Legs)

Just re-checking this thread and shocked its only 4 pages! Is this indicative of the lack of deals? I've only been CVSing for a year now and hope this isn't a bad sign? :confused3

I have been CVSing for only five months now, but I'm looking forward to the 5/24 week. To me it looks way better than in recent weeks.

I needed heartburn meds so I made a quick run.

Poptarts were on sale for $1.67 and I had $1 off coupons, so that was worth it.

AFC did the Target thing on Twitter last week. I printed those coupons and went to Target on Friday, but of course had problems. They didn't want to accept printed and Target coupons, the items were priced more here than AFC had them listed and the worst part: I bought two boxes of Ritz... AFC had them listed for $2.50, mine rang up $2.75 and $2.99.... WTH? It was exactly the same box. I didn't notice until later and lost money from them not ringing up my coupons correctly. I would have gotten the Ritz and salad dressing for cheap, but instead ended up just okay...

Another reason why I stick to CVS

I hit both CVS and Target today. Got 2 John Freida products to complete that deal - there were $1 coupons right beside the products. :thumbsup2 Also did the Lipton Tea deal but thought the deal was buy $15 so I bought 5 teas at $3 each then realized afterwards it was buy $10! :headache: Oh well, we drink ALOT of tea so we will definitely use it.

Target was a NIGHTMARE with coupons today. Almost every coupon I had from target.com beeped and a good bit of the IPs and 1 MQ beeped too. Of course I had a young cashier who didn't know what to do so another cashier took my coupons up to the manager who told the cashier to push them thru as long as I had the right products (which of course I did but DH had to pull every single item out so she could double check it). I saved $87 with coupons and spent $33 ($19 of that $33 was for diapers!).

My target refuses to take their OWN WEBSITE coupons. I hate it! Why have printable coupons if the store won't take them? It's so stupid. I gave up at least a year ago.:headache:
