Cvs & rite aid 3/13-3/19 weekly deals****

I am pretty new to CVS'ing too. I think I did pretty good today. I started out with $6 ECB, a $4 off of $20 coupon, and a $3 off of $15 coupon. When I got to the store, I printed off another $3 off of $15 coupon using the machine.

I did three transactions and "rolled" my bucks:

Transaction # 1: Baby Deal
Pampers - $20
Gerber cereal - 2/$5
Total: $25 - $4 off $20 - $6ECB = $15

Transaction #2: P&G Deal
Charmin - $10 (x2)
Batteries - $10
Total: $30 - $3 off of $15 - $2 off 2 Charmin coupon (from a booklet in a box of diapers I bought a few months ago) - $1 off Duracell batteries coupon - $10 ECB earned from baby deal = $14.30

Transaction #3: Coke Deal
12pack Coke products - 3/$13
2 liter Coke products - 2/$2
Total: $15 - $3 off of $15 - $10 ECB earned from P&G Deal = $2.12

Total OOP = $31.42; Total savings (according to my receipts) = $68.15; Plus, I left with $5 ECB from the Coke deal and another $3 off of $15 coupon that printed with my receipt to use for my next shopping trip! :cool1:
:scared1: New at this? No way you are a pro:dance3:

not too bad...now I need to get the band aid deal and maybe some floss and rinse

OH...FYI the Dove candy rang up as part of the buy 10 get 3 ECB candy deal...even though they are not in the ad. SWEET
I need to look for those eggs:banana: Great job.

Thank you, Flaky, for your weekly postings! I'm still a fledgeling at this, but it's really been amazing to see the savings possible each week. :cool1:

I do have a question though (probably asked and answered a thousand times too--sorry!). I know there is an "order" that you need to use to hand over your coupons, ECBs etc. But, let's say you're doing the "buy $25 of XYZ products, get $10 ECB" offer. If you buy exactly $25 worth of the products, then use one or more coupons (bringing your actual OOP cost to under $25), will the $10 ECB still print out?

Thanks again! :goodvibes

Rite Aid question- can you use register rewards from another rewards card? Dh went to rite aid without my card, so signed up for one to get sale prices. Can I use the register rewards with my cars?

was in the 12/20/10 issue of FIRST for Women magazine (it has carrie underwood on the cover). It's the correct size for this week's offer, making the rinse free after ECB and coupon! Coupon expires 3/31.

To answer your question...

Yes, you'll get the ECBs as long as your before-coupons total equals $25. However, where the "order" comes into play is if you have a $4/20 coupon (or something similar) from CVS. In that case, you need to hand those to the cashier first. Because if you use your manufacturer's coupons first, you might drop your total below $20 or whatever requirement is listed on the coupon.

So for CVS $xx/$xx coupons, you do need to make sure to give those first so you meet the requirement. For ECB deals, you just need to make sure you hit the total spending requirement before coupons. You'll get the ECBs as long as that is done, no matter how many coupons you then use on those products to bring down the total. That is how we end up getting so many things for so cheap or even free!!

I hope that makes sense, it's kind of hard to type out explanations sometimes :goodvibes

Okay this may be a REALLY dumb question but. What is ECB?:confused3 I think I know what it is and if I am correct I can kick myself for not using my extra care card all of the time. Please don't go in too hard on me. TIA

Ecb's are the "extra bucks" that you earn at CVS. You know how we love to abbreviate on this board. ;) Yes, use that extra care card for every purchase! If you look at the add, it will tell you where you can earn ecb's.

:grouphug: WELCOME we are all friendly here,

I am new at Riteaid also. From what I understand YES. If you have Ups and your husband uses them there are no beebs. (I think there is only one car per household:rolleyes1) Me and DH both have one:rolleyes1 However, you can not use the VV the rewards from watching the videos from another card. They are tied to one card. Nice to see you:3dglasses

:worship: Thanks. Now I have to try to hunt it down. It is so funny so have it and even have the coupons just lying there. I can never find it. When I ask the cashiers think I am :hippie:

:yay:The ads for 3/27-4/2 is out, and Trident Vitality Gum is BOGO free during that week. There is a tearpad coupon for BOGO that you can find at your RiteAid store, and this will make both of Trident Vitality packs for free on the week of 3/27-4/2.

I'm laughing at the Limerick that CVS just posted on their Facebook page in honor of St. Patrick's Day.

There is a savings card called ExtraCare,
that gives out Bucks like a millionaire.
When you go to our store,
the rewards will soar
...to your wallet ‘til you’re walking on air.

I got the $1 one. The $2 one expired on the 12th.

I went tonight to get a few deals. A couple of interesting things happened. I bought the Irish Spring deoderant but I didn't get the ECB. It was an Irish Spring deoderant made by Speed stick. It had a tag by it but it was the only one, so maybe in the wrong place. It rang up $1.89. It must have been on clearance?? The cashier forced a $2 ECB for me. So that was a money maker. The cashier said that the Irish spring deoderants were no longer made by Speed stick but made with their own brand.

I also used the Puffs with Vicks coupon that was BOGOF. I bought 2 Puffs for $3. Normally the Puffs are $2.49 each. The cashier took off the full $2.49 instead of the $1.50. I had to scramble to make up the difference so I could use my $10 ECB as I was only expecting the $1.50 off and didn't have enough overage for that. (Plus the above described deoderant that rang up cheaper too!) So I bought 4 two liters of coke to start on the coke deal. I used a $1 off 3 two liters that flaky sent me in the magic envelope.
