Cuttlebug vs. Big Shot?

I'm thinking about getting one of these machines and I'm wondering which I should get or do I need both? Do they use the same dies/folders? Is the Big Shot a pain to lug around? I used to have a Sizzix Sidekick, but I got rid of it back when i got my Cricut Expressions. Now I kind of want the embossing capability of the Cuttlebug and I also like some of the dies out there (Stampin; Up and Cuttlebug). So, help me out here, Scrapbookers! What do I need? ;)

I have both of these, and while both are great and do the same thing, I like my Big Shot a bit more. With that being said it is bigger and a hassle to take with you to crops, etc. so then I take my cuttlebug, but Sizzix makes the cutest carry bag for the Big Shot and it fits in my Cricut "baby bug" rolling tote. I like that the Big Shot is longer and can cut or emboss long borders and word strips where the cuttlebug can't. If I had to make a choice I would choose the the Big Shot.

I have both a Cuttlebug (bought a year ago) and a new (but used) Big Kick -not Big Shot - that I just got two weeks ago for $20 at my LSS going-out-of-business-sale.

I like them both very much. After a couple of weeks of having both, I find I am using the Cuttlebug more to emboss and the BK more for cutting. I did/do cut the Sizzix long strip dies with my Cuttlebug - it works perfectly well for that. The BK is certainly heavier, so that wouldn't travel with me to crops. But, I usually don't even take the CB with me either.

So...I suppose I may be no help to you at all! :rotfl2:

I have the Sizzix Sidekick, the Quickutz sqeeze, and the Cuttlebug. I love that the cuttlebug can cut any of the dies. I rarely have to worry if a die will fit/work in my machine. It's pretty compact and does alot. I don't have the big sizzix though so I'm no help comparing them.
