What trimmer do you use for your glittery or sparkly paper? Do you have a separate trimmer just for that? I recently got some beautiful Bazzill(sp) paper and it seemed to really dull the blade on my 12 inch trimmer. So I was wondering do I need a special trimmer or blade for the glittery paper:confused3 BTW I have a 12 inch CM trimmer. Thanks for any thoughts or advice.:goodvibes

I use my Fiscars for everything and don't have a problem with dulling blades. I did have that problem with my CM trimmer so the CM trimmer is now in a closet (I love that I have a scoring blade for my Fiscars trimmer too)

The Bling did seem to ruin the blade on my Fiskars Euro Trimmer much quicker than anything else. So since it was a week with a 50% Michaels coupon I bought the Making Memories trimmer. It has a self sharpening blade, and I haven't had the problems that others have had with having to reset the paper guide to prevent the paper from tearing. The only thing I can't do is cut small pieces of paper because the guide is in the way and there isn't a long enough spot to line up the paper correctly (like if the paper gets to be less than 2" and I want to cut it in half) then I still pull out the Fiskars.

I have the same problem with my CM trimmer - I've bought so many blades because of that bling! I tried various ways of sharpening (foil, sandpaper, files) but nothing really worked :headache: So I'm trying to source the MM cutter over here.

I wonder if it works better cutting on the reverse side?

I took your advice and got a MM precision trimmer using a 40% off coupon (saved $20). I used my "girl math" and bought $20 worth of bling paper to use with my new trimmer. I love the MM trimmer for the heavy, bling cardstock. Thanks so much for your input. Have a great day. :)

My MM arrived with a damaged blade - awaiting a replacement

Glad I'm not the only one doing gilr math :rotfl:
