I never thought I would need a refresher course for the ADR cut off for a party night but here I am! We arrive in WDW on Friday the. 14th, a party night, with a newbie. She has never been to Disney and wants to "see" the MK as her first park. I am trying to figure out how to make that work when we have parties to navigate, and given any choice, I want to avoid MK of a Saturday. So....I figured that since we are planning an early flight in we will have time to scoot over to the MK after settling into the resort. I do not want to start off rushing, so I could book three FP for that afternoon, and if we get on an attraction fine, if not no harm no foul, and then dinner in the park, and back to the resort to recover from what is going to be a very long day. (THey live in VT but are flying out of Montreal, so they have a very early start to the day.)

I was thinking Skipper Canteen, if my DD is willing to go for dinner rather than lunch on our MK day. THen we could make our escape before the party gets going.

Or we can just skip dinner in the park and either eat on the monorail line or take the boat to WL and have dinner at Artist Point, and take a cab back to OKW>

Disney hasn't released that information yet and dinners DURING party hours aren't even out. Last year, each restaurant had a different cut-off time. Those that were not open during the party had later ADRs than those that were. Also, the 6 pm closing time is different for MNSSHP. If you can find the information from last year's MVMCP, that would at least give you a ball park.

So the 6 PM was for MNSSHP? I thought it might have been for both. I will look at historical hours and times for a ballpark. My DD said they had zero interest in attending the Party, so I am not concerned that having to dash out after dinner is a tease, but I also do not want Jenna's first experience in MK to be a rushed cluster. I was thinking if we could just stroll onto Main Street in teh afternoon, maybe get on two or three attractions like Pirates and Haunted MAision, or even the riverboat, (It is still operating, Yes?) we would be in the general vicinity of a restaurant close to the exit. BOG is out unless I hear extremely awesome reviews of that new menu.

Last year, MNSSHP was still at 7, but MVMCP was 6. This year, they both are at 6. So searching last year's MVMCP will give you a better idea than last year's MNSSHP.

Riverboat is supposed to come out of refurbishment in July, so it should be operating in Nov.
