Day 5

We had to rise at the ungodly hour of 7am and rush to the market to have some breakfast. I am really missing my champagne but the blue iced coffee is almost as good. Dixie was still harping on about going to the Movie Studios as Amos was really excited about seeing Playhouse Disney whatever that is. I explained again that daddy and I were going to ride Segy Scooters in Epcot. She asked if she and Amos could participate but they were too young. She wanted to stay by the pool until we were finished scootering which was fine with me but Cuthbert said no, we would be too far away. Eventually we managed to reach a compromise and we rushed outside and had the hired help call us a taxi. We were at the Boardwalk within minutes and we found the children some sun beds in the shade to leave their water, towels and cell phones. We told them we would be back in roughly 3 hours and to call us if they had any problems. Whilst unloading the children Amos read a sign saying that only resort guests can use the pool. I told them if anyone asked them to say they were in room 1234 and mummy and daddy would be down soon.

Cuthbert and I got back into the taxi and went to Epcot. The lines were large but we walked to the front and explained to the hired help that we had a reservation for a tour and he let us straight in. We had to go to the guest relative place and sign our live away on a waver form. Met up with other persons who were keen to learn to scooter, some of them looked like unsavoury characters so I told Cuthbert to watch his side.

The training part of this experience was not good, it took place in a room with no windows. We had to zig zag in and out of little cones. The hired help had put them too close together so I just went over the top of them, no-one seemed to mind. We had to drive up a steep hill and then turn at the top of a staircase and wait until the other learners had joined us at the top of the hill. Sounds simple but there was not much space and we hadn’t switched the engines off. Poor Cuthbert moved his handle bar backwards and fell down the stairs. I laughed and laughed but the hired help didn’t and had to get Cuthbert a new scooter. They taught us how to manoeuvre the scooters over the bump. I told them I wouldn’t bother exiting my scooter to lift this contraption as it isn’t something I would do in day to day life as I have hired help to do that for me.

After our lessons we went for a scoot around the world and I am pleased to say the Disney gardeners will still have employment for the next year as I flattened so many trees and plants. I really couldn’t control this crazy machine at all. What made it worse was that Cuthbert was enjoying himself immensely. When we exited the world we encountered people and lots of them. I screamed at them to move as I wasn’t in control and most of them did when they realised I was not going to stop. I was so glad when we finished and was dizzy from going round and round and round in endless circles. Cuthbert was so happy he said he was going to purchase one of these scooters when we got home. We were given little pins about the scooter tour and told not to give them to anyone as they were valuable, told Cuthbert we would have Garry the butler sell them on Ebay when we get home and he can purchase himself something useful with the profits, like whisky.

Left the park feeling sick and got a taxi to retrieve the children from the Boardwalk. They had had a wonderful time and had made friends with nice children from Beverly Hills. Amos was looking a little red so we popped into the gift shop and purchased him a sweater to keep him covered. Got another taxi and returned to the Pop place for a mid morning nap, I was exhausted. Before we reached our cupboard we went into the gift shop to retrieve the pen Dixie had purchased at Animal Kingdom yesterday, I was most surprised to find it in 2 large carrier bags but I was too tired to be concerned. The cleaning lady woke us up at 2pm so we left the tiny room and went to the Movie Studios place, we went in a taxi as the lines at the bus stop were huge and the persons at the front looked unsavoury.

We had to go straight to the Playhouse show and Amos was so excited and overwhelmed I was actually concerned about his sanity. Cuthbert wanted to see the Little Mermaid so we had to go there next. It was very refreshing to see they have updated it and added Nemo and Dorky to the fish dancing part. Once again I upset the hired help by using the flash on my camera. I explained to him that on my last trip I had heeded his advice, well not his personally, and the pictures were too dark.

Dixie wanted to see the parade so we managed to squeeze ourselves into a space for one on the curb. The other persons were very kind to move when we sat on their feet. The parade was wonderful and I screamed and hollered with delighted when Buzz and Woody stopped in front of us and Woody asked me to hop on board. Cuthbert was not amused. He had to hold me back when little Dopey from Sleeping Snow White waved to me. I wanted to keep him, I tried and failed previously to get him in a child swap. Again Amos got overwhelmed when those Playhouse persons passed and even Cuthbert was concerned for his sanity. Cuthbert wolf whistled at Mary Pappins and Esmerelda from Aladdin, sad isn’t it. Dixie had to move during the parade, she said the sun was in her eyes which was strange as it was very cloudy and the sky was black. Must make her an appointment for the optician.

It was now time to see what I wanted so we went to the Millionaire show. Cuthbert got into the seat in the front and when asked how he felt to be in the hot seat he replied it wasn’t hot. I was so embarrassed for him. The host asked him who he was in the studio with and he pointed towards the children and I, well to Amos, Dixie and I were on the floor pretending we didn’t know him. He got the first question wrong so he didn’t win any prizes. The next contestant was a clever person from Texas who I cheered on with all my might. I shouted the answers out to him when he was stuck. On the third time of doing this I was threatened with removal of my good self so I had to be quiet. Predictably he got the next question wrong.

We were all very hungry so we went to the Prime Time Diner for our dinner reservation. We didn’t stay long. The waiter had the audacity to tell me to remove my elbows from the table and then tried to fork feed me green beans. When I refused he had everyone point and shout abuse at me. We left, I was disgusted. We refused to pay for the food and drinks (and Cuthbert had drunk plenty) and I complained to the supervisor on the way out. The children were crying and hungry so we purchased them some popcorn and cola and then went and rode Tower of Terror. I made Cuthbert hold onto his hair the whole ride, he was so scared he cried. The children were scared witless on this ride and I laughed heartily, the look of sheer panic and fear on their faces in the photo is priceless. I had to purchase it and got key rings too.

We rounded off the day by attending Mickey’s Fantastical show. We arrived 5 minutes before it was due to commence to find it extremely busy. I managed to find some seats in the Mickey section for the children and told them we would stand at the back but that they were to cry in a few minutes. This worked a treat and the nice people around all squashed together to make room for Cuthbert and I. I wanted to record this show but a tall man 14 rows in front of me was blocking my view so I had to stand up which annoyed the lady behind me. She screamed at me that she had been sitting there for 90 minutes to get a good view and I was not going to spoil her enjoyment. I sat down and put my camera away but not before telling her that she obviously had too much time on her hands and she should get a life. I also pointed out that it was not necessary to wait 90 minutes, I hadn’t and still had a good view. Her husband, I assume, suddenly came over all loving towards her and forcibly put his arms around her. Cuthbert had to leave with Amos during the scary bits but he did manage to sit down again for the end.

Exiting was horrendous. It was cattle herding at it’s very best. It took us 25 minutes to reach the bus stop. When we got on the bus no-one offered us a seat. I Shouted down to the driver could he have someone give me a seat as I was tired, he didn’t answer. Still no-one got up and they all heard me. I thought it was disgusting. I had the children sit in the stairwell to keep them safe. When we began moving I lost my footing and fell onto someone’s knee. I was so tired I stayed there for the remainder of the journey, fortunately the journey was very short as their legs were all sweaty and sticky. I showered when we returned to the cupboard and then went to bed. Cuthbert and the children went to the bar, not sure when they returned as I was out like a power cut.

LMAO! How rude of them! I must say this has been quite the trip report! This should seriously be made into a movie! A comedy of course. Poor Cuthbert, getting knocked out, pushed under the bed, crying on rides...he must be a hoot! I think the entire Disney World staff..oops I mean...the hired help...deserved huge raises after you left.

Enjoyed reading your report ~ Thanx for posting.

thanks for reminding me of MGM and the cattle drive.........I almost forgot.......thanks again

Once again you have abandoned the children - not good! :sad2: - and at another resort pool! That will really upset people who frequent these boards.
I cant believe how rude the staff were at the restaurant especially with such important clientele - tut! :rolleyes2
